Went there for a Bluegrass Jamboree and it was a great place for it. Hadn’t been to the park in 25 years and was very well taken care of.

Went there end of July first time being there and drove past the last shelter house to fish. Went again Aug. 5 and done same. We was approached with elderly worker with ruid attitude to move our vehicle from the side for not suppose to drive past the sign stating no vehicle allowed. He said he could call sheriff. We was leaving there ,WAS NO D--n sigh there. So when leaving We approached him and said there is NO sign there and he said someone knocked it over and had to hunt for it and reported it to his boss

Love going to yellow creek park! Good for professional pictures, picnics, there’s playgrounds for your kiddos, etc.

The back entrance is a more direct route to hiking trails in the woods, don't have to drive through all the rest of the park. Very easy gravel trails, mostly shaded. Park offers several different playground areas, a small waterpark, a lake, picnic shelters and a Pioneer Village. The boundaries on Google maps are way off, it is a much bigger park.Playground: Multiple playgrounds, including a small waterpark.Restrooms: There are restrooms at the pioneer village and elsewhere.

Great place for a music festival, plenty of parking and camping spaces and lots of space to set up a chair. No alcohol sales was a bummer I'm sure there are some regional breweries that would have found some new customers. @BillyStrings should play here again can we get a spring version of the Renewal festival?

It's a great state park for families. As far as ROMP (River of Music Party) Festival it is strongly geared toward families with young kids and elderly. ROMP is far too commercialized, camping is basic parking lot style for RV campers (we had a basketball court fully lit nearly all night behind us) unless you're VIP which honestly VIP didn't look all that great for the $$. If your someone who enjoys late night jams, camping in the woods, having an adult beverage and enjoying the wee hours of the night..... this is NOT that place. They have limited sites for RVs near the late night stage and camping area. We were forced to camp at the front of the park because staff did not allow you (first come first serve, we arrived when gates opened first day) to pick your camp spot in your designated ticket location, so we had a long walk to enjoy the late night shows. We are musicians who go to music festivals to enjoy great music and campsite jam sessions with various people. This "festival" greatly disappointed us.

Nice well maintained park with plenty of parking. They have a couple of ball fields, tennis courts walking trails, covered picnic areas, 1 play ground, pioneer village & a couple of train cars to check out. It was ok but not worth the drive across town for us.

Good park to take your kids too. It has a nice view of the water and has a spray park so kids can play in the water, they also have a walking trail and a historical trail of old places and a little creek with a view from the bridge.

This has always been a great place to hang out, hike, fish, play Frisbee and basically anything you would want to do at a park. I've been visiting this park since I was a young teen, and it has never disappointed. They host lots of events and plenty of land to do it. Best park in the Owensboro area, by far.
