24 lockers are available at the front of the store, so I'm not sure what all the 'fuss' is about regarding large purses, backpacks, shopping bags, etc. On July 11, 2025 in the early afternoon, I thought the entire store smelled like gas/exhaust--like from an old push lawnmower. Not sure what was up with the air quality...

The only consignment store I shop at here in Paducah!! The staff are super friendly and always willing to help if it's needed. There's a wide variety of merchandise too for whatever it is you're looking for. You can find some really great deals here too, especially if the tag color is on sale! I definitely recommend this store to all my friends and family.

Nice little consignment store! Very clean and well lit. Lots of trinkets for every person. A little on the pricey side, but they were having a good sale when we went in.

I usually don’t write reviews but I was out and about today and was really wanting to burn some cash. Unfortunately I was met with a sign that said no bags, no purses, no backpacks! Well that’s a shame because I have to have my purse and my son’s diaper bag. Which we have to have on us at all times! So we went next door and spent our wad!
Such a shame to lose out on so much money!

If you love the thrill of the hunt, Between Friends Consignment is your kind of place. They have everything and I mean everything. Books, DVDs, shoes, clothes, furniture, electronics, purses, skateboards... if you can dream it, it’s probably tucked somewhere in there.
That said, some of the pricing had me blinking in Morse code. I saw a small living room chair priced at $600, and for a second, I thought maybe it came with free therapy sessions. It didn’t. At that point, you might as well hit up a new furniture store and get something with a warranty.
But the sheer amount of stuff packed into this place makes it worth checking out, especially when they’re running deals. Catch the right sale, and you might just walk out with a treasure instead of a receipt that makes you question your life choices.

This establishment does not comply with the American Disabilities Act. My mother and I went in today, and had to be asked to leave due to her purse being too large. I understand within a small business, theft can be detrimental to a business. But after my mother explained she had her rescue medications within said purse, offered to show staff, and offered to allow staff to check her purse before leaving. She was told she either could put her purse and life saving medications in a locker, or to leave the establishment. We left the establishment, because locking up the medications she could need to save her life was not on the table. Would they have asked the same of someone who had a portable oxygen tank within a bag? Another thing that is detrimental to a business is bad customer service, which is exactly what we received today.

I love the store! Great place to thrift for furniture, clothes, etc. I’m leaving three stars because the lady at the cash register. She profiled my mixed fiance and asked to see his drivers license to make sure it’s his? is this normal or cause his color?? she wasn’t rude but super weird to do that! great store though, i do suggest checking it out.

Snooty. Send my Fiancé in there only for her to be confronted her saying they done allow backpacks. Now although it’s a loungefly and not very big, she was more than willing to comply but the woman was so rude about it made her completely off put. Thankful to not have to make the 45 min drive anymore. Glad when it’s changed into something more useful and that lady with the attitude may be a candidate for harbor freight stock!

I am the owner of Between Friends Consignment. First of all I appreciate all the amazing reviews from genuine people.
Addressing the purse issue. It’s our rules with so many shoplifting these days. If you don’t like it then either put your purse in your car, carry a small crossbody or shop somewhere else. This is a small business and we cannot continue to take the loses. If you take it personally then I have to assume you either have an entitlement issue or you up to no good.
Lastly, to the person that said this is free donations and should be priced lower…this is a consignment shop. Not a thrift store, not a junk store, not a give away station. We sell items for our consignors. Good merchandise, not trash. If you want thrift there are plenty of those around. Please be more aware before throwing out hateful, untruthful reviews.

I would not recommend wasting my time here. For starters your not allowed to take your purse inside if they think it's too big. You have to put it inside a locker at the front. Then everything in the store is extremely overpriced. This stuff is used...not brand new. My husband found 2 movies and because the total wasn't over $10 he wasn't allowed to use his debit card (which by the way, they charge just for using a card). Needless to say, I wasn't walking back to my car just to get cash out of my purse. If you can't trust me to bring in my purse and you have all these rules this is definitely not a store for me. This place should just shut down.

I too was targeted for a "large purse", like many other reviews here. My purse is not large, and I saw other shoppers with purses larger than the one that I was forced to take back to the car because I didn't want to leave my purse in a locker where anything could crawl into it. It was very clear that I was stereotyped, maybe because I wasn't wearing makeup or because I had casual clothing on, which made me feel even more uncomfortable after I realized other shoppers had comparable and larger purses. Also when I paid, a different employee checked me out, and she tried to set my cash and coin change on the counter while I had my hand out. I spent around $60 here today but it will probably be the last time. The clothing selection was sparse, and the tops were overpriced, but they did have a nice selection of purses. Just don't try to bring them in the store to spend more money there after you buy them!

Wow! What a find! HUGE, clean consignment shop. LOTS of name brands: jewelry and handbags, tons of clothes (mostly for women, but they have men's and kids stuff, too), household items. Prices are reasonable.

Donated items at prices that are way over priced. Donated means y'all didn't pay a penny so stop charging like you gotta make your money back. Did not purchase anything. They don't even tell you how your purchases help and whom they're there to benefit, like local community or battered women; nothing is explained in why the donated items are priced so high
