One of our guys broke a throttle cable in Metropolis on the way home from Sturgis. Big Pete had a cable in stock for us and also gave some suggestions on how to improvise a cable to get home if we have it happen again in the future.

Great service great people and good pricing been dealing with them for years ever since Big Pete started in a very small 1 room shop now its a good sized shop Corey his son does the repair work and Tim runs the front and always is friendly and knowledgeable on parts and bikes and loves to talk

Pete the owner is a very knowledgeable and up front kinda guy. Which is rare these days when it seems everyone is out to tell you what you want to hear then empty your wallet.Honest when it comes to talking about what he'll do and won't do instead of what corporate wants him to do. I live in southern I'll. And have been to a couple of different bike shops that are a lot closer to where I live and have not had that down home customer service like I have had at Big Pete's in lone oak KY.

I am only giving 1 star because there is not an option for zero. This is beyond measure the worst experience I have ever had as a consumer, of any kind! I only write these for improvements, or to warn others. In this case, I warn others. A few months ago, I hired this shop to put handlebars and a bluetooth stereo speaker system on my bike. I went here because his prices were better than Harley. I will get this out of the way first: he did a good job on the bars. Now, to the actual review. I was quoted a week and a price. The price was what it was, but the week blew into 2, which isn't the end of the world. I brought him a very nice Pioneer audio system I got that had thousands of five-star ratings. He told me it would not be any problem to put on. I will say I could tell early on he was not a friendly sort of guy, but I gave him a pass on this, being that he works on bikes rather than running a cash register. I got there with my wife to pick it up. I looked it over then made a HUGE mistake in that I paid the bill before testing the speakers. You guessed it, they did not work. He came out annoyed, claiming he tested ONLY the power feed, not actual functionality!! I asked him to fix them and he refused, saying he does not guarantee it unless he sells the system himself! This led me to wonder why he agreed to put them on if he would not even ensure they work?! An argument ensued between him and me and my wife asked me to back off, knowing I was about as mad as she had ever seen me. The owner started cussing and shaking now, an ultimate act of unprofessional ism, unlike any I have ever seen! I proceeded to return the favor (though I should not have stooped to that) and eventually, when I could see he would do nothing for me, I took my loss to Harley. When I got there and told them the work had been done at Big Pete's, they all understood and were not surprised. The technician that fixed it called me over and told me it was a horrible wiring/installation job, and to show me that Pete's had cut through my tool bag unnecessarily. I try not to think much on this, as it is a sour memory, but customers should be aware of this potentially to save yourself from going through something similar.
