I love the store, wonderful, wonderful choice of fabrics. However, not one employee smiles, act like they’re in prison.

Hear me out.
Shipping is not Amazon fast. It could take 2 weeks for your package to get to your door.
BUT, this business cares about their customers. They keep their prices low to keep their customers. If you have a question about your order, they will drop what they are doing and find the answer you need.
They are kind, courteous, and loyal to their customers as their customers are loyal to the Business.

My wife assures me that this is THE fabric and quilting store, to which all others aspire to be - and I can say it is very impressive.

I began quilting in 2014. In my beginning quilting class, I was told Hancocks of Paducah was an awesome fabric store. At that point I put it on my bucket list. Fast forward, I finally got to go today. Since it is a Saturday, they close at 3. We arrived at 1:42. By 2:11, I had about $400 of fabric in my cart and was about 3/4 finished with my shopping. This is when an employee rudely informed me that I needed to have my fabric cut because they closed at 3. She continued to be rude throughout our discussion. I was also told I should shop online since that is how they like to fill orders. Most quilters will agree that seeing/touching fabric is important when buying. I finished my shopping and was in the car at exactly 2:27. Ensuring that the crotchety lady could get out of work on time and her salary was paid for the week.
I would suggest to the company that if, in fact, they only like online orders, they should close the retail store. If they want to keep the store open to the public, a little customer service training may be required.
I waited 10 years to fill a bucket list item and it turned out to be a huge disappointment due to one rude employee.

I purchased some quilting fabric online at Hancock's of Paducah. I was very impressed with the way the fabric had been shipped. It had been wrapped in plastic to prevent moisture. Fabric was shipped quickly as well. I would purchase from them again. Thanks!

Always a good day when I go here. I found some great material to make seasonal table runners. In the quilt kit section I took pictures & revisited their web site later & found that some had even lower prices than when I visited.
