Amazing place and wonderful family that runs it! It was such a well-organized, fun shop, with a lot of horse memorabilia and merchandise, among many other interesting things. The ladies who were running the shop were so kind and knowledgeable about the history of Paris, KY and its connection to some famous race horses, including Secretariat, so fascinating! Would definitely recommend this shop and visiting this area!

I found this super cool place to find unique items. I like to look for weird gifts for friends or vintage things for my home. Definitely recommend stopping in here for a look around. They have such a wide variety of items, and it's always fun to browse and discover something new. Whether you're into quirky knick-knacks or classic retro pieces, this place has something for everyone. I love the thrill of finding one-of-a-kind treasures here. It's a great spot to spend an afternoon exploring and uncovering hidden gems.

We did not know what to expect when we walked into this shop. But, we were blown away. The owner and her mother were true gems and super ambassadors for not only Paris and but for the thoroughbred community. The shop was packed with Kentucky equestrian history and they were incredibly knowledgable, sharing fascinating facts and stories. This is a must stop place for anyone interested in horse racing and history. The prices were great, the inventory was extensive, but the owners were priceless.

Charming shop with many nice-quality objects to choose from. I could have spent two hours or more browsing all the options. Many items are Kentucky-centric, which so well represents the area. The long-time proprietors are charming and helpful and very knowledgeable about their offerings. Can’t wait to go back!

I always find the coolest books and memorabilia here. Margaret goes out of her way to let me lnow when something I might like comes in the store amd is alsways happy to keep an eye out for specific books. She has also given me invaluable advice on bidding in estate auctions. If you love racing, this is the place to visit when in Central Kentucky.

An absolute treasure and a “must visit” for every aficionado of horses and racing. I still remember the first time I visited and stayed for over an hour. It’s now a pilgrimage. And even though I am on the West Coast, Margaret somehow manages to find me some real treasures, especially related to Kentucky history! I know how busy the shop gets because everyone wants to spend time with the owners… so I always say “call me back” or she shoots me a message when she can talk. She and her Mom are so knowledgeable about antiques and their history in Kentucky. I wish she would write a book!! I know I would buy it! Here are some of my recent additions from Loch Lea!!

Wonderful shop that I have visited for years and years! Very knowledgeable about equine books and collectibles, which is what I collect. I go several times a year and always come home with some type of treasure! The Layton's are two of the finest people I know...

These two ladies are some of the rudest people I have ever encountered and I go to a lot of antique shops. We came across this one about a half hour before they were set to close. Two ladies, an elderly mother and daughter beckoned me to look around and ask questions if we needed to. I was specifically looking for Arts and Crafts vintage linens and pottery. I was looking through the linens and the younger of the two offered me a hand. She then proceeded to tell me that they spend a lot of money getting the linens washed and folded and I was putting them back in little balls!" I guess I was not expected to actually look at them! I should have told her that the one she refolded in front of me had a blood stain! I said, wow, are you really talking to a customer like that and left without purchasing anything. I would not recommend this place. They are not in the customer service business!

The mother and daughter duo who own and operate this antique shop are absolutely wonderful. I love stopping in when traveling up through Maysville to Cincinnati. I have always found something unique and exciting in this antique shop.

Stopped by on the week of the Derby. Owners were very knowledgeable about racing and the horse farms in area. Picked up a couple of old Derby glasses at a reasonable price and an old book on racing. Staff was very friendly and I spent approximately 1 hour browsing around. Will definitely stop by next year.
