“They are a great bank to do business with, they will do whatever there is to help you in any situation. They are down to earth and very personable. I would recommend this financial institution for anyone no matter how little or lot of money you have.”

“While they may be slow processing transactions at least they do it RIGHT. Unlike community trust who's teller stole an entire paycheck & the bank refused to make it right, gave us a receipt showing we made a deposit but then the $ never made it into the acct., deposits checks when we asked for them to be cashed. Idk what happened to community trust they used to be great i had banked with them my whole adult life but after the theft of an entire paycheck I switched to BB&T & am very happy with their service.”

“This bank is in fact in Castlewood, VA, not St. Paul. And given that neither town is more than 3 miles from the other, I have no idea why the bank's location is misidentified on this website. It's not as though St. Paul is a big place and Castlewood a small place. They're both tiny, but those of us who live here can certainly keep them separate in our minds. I have no particular love for big banks, and BB&T is a big one. I feared that at first, but I like the people at this bank (corporate BB&T: take note!). For my needs, the size of the bank really doesn't count; continuity in staff, however, matters hugely. I like and trust Pam and Christine, and they have been at this branch since I started banking there more than a decade ago. I also know, however, that holding on to good staff requires good (or at least not idiotic) management, so I compliment the bank manager, though I don't know her at all. The bank is comfortable for me. All I really require is competence: a bank that doesn't get my account screwed up. But it's nice when you can go to a bank and be called by name, you know? It's nice to actually like the people you interact with rather than simply think, with approval, that they served you well. It's nice to have both.”
