I would give zero stars if I could. I bought 6 baby ducks and 6 “Easter egger chicks”. I had purchased 2 baby ducks from the Wise Virginia location a few days prior and realized that I wanted more, everywhere was sold out besides the pikeville location which is over an hour away from me. But I drove there and I bought 6 more. When the guy who was packing my 6 chicks up, I told him I wanted Easter eggers as the sign said and he had NO IDEA which ones they were. Neither did the other guy or the lady up front. So I just hoped for the best and decided I guess I’ll find out in a few months if they are actually Easter Eggers. As for the ducks, 5 out of the 6 ducks I bought died within less than 24 hours. I was shocked and extremely disappointed, so I called up there and got transferred to 3 different people and the last person I talked to said he would have to talk to his supervisor to see what he wanted to do about it. He also somewhat blamed me asking “what did you do? Like how was their set up?” After I explained their set up, he just said nothing. He told me he would call me the next day after he spoke to his supervisor and days went by and I never heard anything. I called again and had to re explain my situation to a different employee and she told me I could get a refund or replacement if I drove up there to get it. I said “I have to drive there to get a refund?” She said “yup”. I don’t understand why they can’t look up my TS account over the phone or put it on store credit. I live over an hour away. I will not be returning to this store. No knowledge of the chickens they sell and definitely no sympathy when they sell you ducks/chicks that don’t make it within 24 hours.

Less than 1!!
DO NOT PURCHASE ANY ANIMAL FROM THEM!
I purchased 6 chicks ($40) on a Sunday (48 hour warranty). 3 days after purchase 5 were dead! No refund, only 48 hours.. They were a birthday present for a 5 year old. How upsetting for the child and the poor chicks!
I’m researching the inspecting agent on animal safety in a retail store.
Pikeville and surround areas, don’t forget you can purchase animals from many farmers in the area. I hate that I was rushed and made a decision to purchase from retail!

We initially bought a gas grill from a store down the street from Tractor Supply and were so utterly disrespected that we canceled the purchase. Fortunately for us, Mr. Steven at Tractor Supply treated us with incredible respect. If you are looking for customer service, a rarity nowadays, look no further than Tractor Supply

Once you leave with something you are on your own. I bought a log splitter and when I couldn’t figure out how to assemble I went back and ask what I was doing wrong. Their answer was “I don’t know we have a guy that puts them together” when ask when he would be there I was told “he just comes and goes so we don’t know”. They where supposed to have him call me and nothing.

we’ve spent thousands every year at this store and after the employees talked for 15 minutes before they asked for help. i was walking out with a 300 dollar impact and they wouldn’t give us 2 minutes to decide which free tool that came with it. that was my last trip there
