So much fun!! Our tour guides were AMAZING and HILARIOUS, which made it even that much more of an incredible experience! This is a must see if in the area. It was about 45 min on the classic tour and worth every penny. The views are stellar and its great for the family even smaller children. Add this one to the list!

Great experience! I’ve been here twice and both times were amazing. I did the deluxe clear kayak tour both times and it was so interesting and fun. The first time I did a tandem kayak with my girlfriend and the second time I went solo. They have filled with rainbow trout which is pretty cool as well. The guides are very informative and can answer any question you may have about the abandoned mine and how it flooded. They have a gift shop that has some nice shirts and other souvenirs for a reasonable price. During the holidays, they decorate with lights and such for Halloween and Christmas. Two years ago they offered a solo expedition so you didn’t have to go with a group and be bothered by children, inexperienced kayakers, people who love to talk and ask a million and one questions, etc but unfortunately I came too late in the month to do it as it’s only offered in October. When I came back this past October (2023) they did not offer it but said they would be doing it again next year, so I’m looking forward to that. Overall it is an incredible experience and definitely worth every penny.

What an amazing adventure! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. The staff, all of them, were so friendly and helpful. They made you feel so welcome and they genuinely seemed to enjoy what they are doing. The kayak tour was just awesome! The tour guides were knowledgeable, friendly and so helpful. This was a super kid friendly adventure too. We took a 5 year old and an 11 year old. Our tour guides, Blake and Drew, were patient and very accommodating to children. The gift shop made my kids day by giving them a free souvenir. I can’t say enough good things about this place! Thanks George Underground for some wonderful family memories. We will definitely return.

Had a great time! Really neat experience! Our tour guides Ray and Evan were great! We were running a few mins late and they were very nice and helped us get ready quickly so we could tour with the whole group! Thank y’all so much! The hour difference in time kinda messed us up a bit, along with an accident with five min delay! Definitely will recommend this place to others!

Great experience! everyone was very friendly and helpful. It was a very neat experience if you like nature just seeing how the caves used to be and are now, if you love the outdoors this is a must do. I was a little worried at first thought I'd be a bit claustrophobic but there was plenty of space and room in between everyone. The guides were very knowledgeable and answered every question we had about the history of the cave .

Highly recommend! My husband and I spent the weekend in the gorge to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and the clear kayak tour with Alex & Jacob was amazing! So many facts/history- very cool! Don't hesitate- book the clear kayak tour!

We had a wonderful time with the kayak tour. It's an amazing underground tour. We are not anywhere kayak experts, but we are easy to follow our guider. It's cold underground, but with the helmet and life vest, it keeps us warm. I'm glad we bought gloves and socks with us, it was helpful. Take the kids here. You won't regret it.

We did the crystal kayak tour and it was so much fun! Our guides Amy and Jacob were incredibly kind, helpful, funny and knowledgeable. It’s a relaxing beautiful paddle perfect for beginners. I need to come back and bring my kids next time, they’d love it!

This was a really cool experience. We did the boat tour and we loved it. We had such a wonderful time on this tour. Our guide was Jared and he gave us a lot of great information about the caves and was able to answer all our questions. We will definitely go again but next time on the kayak tour.

This was a great experience. Being in caves and caverns is fun as it is. Adding kayaking into the mix just made it even better. Our two tour guides were very knowledgeable, and they both did their best to make the experience even more fun. Their jokes kept everyone smiling throughout the tour. The hour time flew by. I just wish it was a little longer due to how much we were enjoying ourselves. A++ to the entire experience. For attire, I recommend wearing at minimum a long sleeve shirt, pants, and socks/shoes you don't mind potentially getting a little we or dirty. The ambient temperature inside the mine felt like the low 60's.

Had a great time. The guides were informative and fun. Would definitely recommend the crystal kayaks. Very easy to manage and the lights really added to the experience. Definitely worth the trip to Kentucky.

We had an absolutely great time! We had five adults and four children ages 9 through 14. My mother and I are both extremely claustrophobic and we were never scared or panicked throughout the entire trip. It was down pouring when we were here and it did not affect the cave at all. Definitely a unique experience we all enjoyed!

Our family went with a group of seven. Our guides name was Wes. He did a really good job! We will definitely be back. We would love to go back in October. They decorate down there for Halloween!!! Loved seeing the huge rainbow trout and hearing all of the interesting info about the cave while we were kayaking through.

We booked months in advanced and consider our family Kayak aficionados. We love tours and seeing unusual things while kayaking. Luke and Ray killed it as guides and even pointed out the “Piranhas” in the water and that the rocks that make up the Egyptian Pyramids did not come from Kentucky. Our kids loved it and please read the reviews about what to wear. We wore pants that could get wet and layers. We also brought our own wool socks and they were a life saver. Others not in our group complained about how cold their feet were during and after. The water is in the 30 degrees and the temp is in the 50’s. We did the clear kayaks and so glad we did because you can see more of the fish and limestone in the water.
