“I love this place! Not only is the butcher shop amazing, the restaurant is one of my all time favorite places. We recently moved to the area and Louisville has a lot of amazing restaurants. That being said we have already eaten at Red Hog five times and keep coming back for more. All of the ingredients are amazing and the staff is very attentive and friendly. My wife is gluten free and they have a lot of great options and no "hidden" irritating ingredients. The Cuban sandwich is to die for, get the fries, which are delicious, so you can dip them in the amazing green sauce! They also have great cocktails and beer selection. Have a Kentucky Mule, you wont be disappointed!”

“Crestwood’s best kept secret in meats. My family loves their ground beef and steaks. The ground beef looks and tastes fresher than any supermarket meat we’ve ever had, leaves behind far less grease, and you have it packed in the portion sizes you need. The steaks, in my opinion, are the best quality I’ve tasted, bar none. The staff takes pride in their product and it shows. We will be buying all of our beef from here going forward.”
“Well established neighborhood butcher shop serving just about everything under the sun. Hot bar is a daily favorite for lunch breaks of everyone from doctors to construction workers. Highly recommend ordering your chicken and steaks from here at a minimum and fall in love with everything else each visit. There's a reason it's the epicenter for Louisville thanksgiving and Christmas dinners!”

“Unbelievably well-managed local butchery. The father-son duo that runs this place are SERIOUSLY amazing and wonderful people, along with everyone who's working behind the counter.Steaks, pork, chicken, kebabs, salmon, sausages, etc. are all as fresh as you can get! Everything is of the highest quality without a doubt, and reasonably priced. The sandwiches/burgers are worth a 30+ minute drive. They smoke/grill their stuff daily on the sidewalk outside the storefront. Sides are fresh and flavorful (try the baked beans, pasta salad, slaw, and mac & cheese). Pre-packaged meals in their "grab and go" section are consistently delicious.I wish I could give this place 6 stars. Glad to see it's no longer a secret how incredible this spot really is!”
