Great experience, consistent and clean. I always get quality exercise when I visit this location. I enjoy the pool, hot tub and sauna also.

Great facilities, instructions if you desire. The people make it easy to get started, never any pressure, it’s your pace.

I go to YMCA only to swim and the Hot tube and Sauna, but this month the Hot tub was closed almost all month!! That is not good!!! I paid for it and I didn't use it for all month. What is happening with the Director? Lisa is her name? or the supervisor? please fix it because we need it!! because that I gave you one star! and for everything else I like it and is why I have been there for 5 or 6 years!!

A great place for sports and relaxation!! 👍 We love to exercise here with our family😁 But there is a problem: the jacuzzi often doesn't work, we hope this problem will be fixed soon)))

My family has been going to this location for years now. The kids club and staff has been amazing to our kids with staff even remembering them by name when we walk in. Our kids love going and spending time here. Our daughter has done multiple swim classes and the instructors are always very nice and great with the kids. The gym and facility is always clean and well maintained.

I love the NC Y. It’s the most friendly and neighborhood vibe Y that I’ve gone too. You can tell that they love their jobs.

this branch is one of the most corrupted one among YMCA, double standards name it … unprofessional staff and at least one of the “directors “ his response on a discrimination incident my family were subject to twice from the same person in past two years was, if it’s me I would downgrade your other two children who earned the green necklace, one at least from the same branch, to a yellow, after they were upgraded to a green years ago… imagine how fool is this response ! just to cover up one of the lifeguards wrong assessment to my third child on the test , and I’m sure based on the past discrimination experience were were subject to by her ! wonderful isn’t? I’m as an HR professional and a Law person I would not hire both of them from first place and indeed if this happened in a different state they would be sued and behind the bars. conclusion save yourself and go to different branch

The YMCA in Norton Commons has long been a community hub, offering a variety of programs and facilities aimed at promoting health and wellness. However, my recent experiences have left much to be desired.
The customer service at the YMCA in Norton Commons has been an area of concern. Staff members, while generally polite, often seem overwhelmed and undertrained. It’s not uncommon to wait a long time at the front desk, and resolving issues or getting information can be a tedious process. Moreover, the communication about schedule changes and facility updates is often poor, leaving members in the dark about important information. I’ve been kicked out of the lap pool and targeted for being a yougin despite me reserving my lane in advance. It seems like it’s dominated by age and only old people can swim in the lap pool while the lap pool is the only pool with a handicap lift.
Considering the state of the facilities and the inconsistencies in service, the membership fees seem high. Members expect a certain level of quality for the price they pay, and unfortunately, the YMCA falls short of these expectations.
While the YMCA has the potential to be a great community resource, the current state of the Prospect location is disappointing. The lack of maintenance, inconsistent quality of programs, and subpar customer service make it difficult to justify the membership cost. I hope that management will address these issues promptly to restore the YMCA’s reputation as a cornerstone of community wellness.
