I stopped by the Shell station at 900 Maple Street in Russell Springs late at night expecting 24-hour service, as clearly advertised on their signage. However, the doors were locked, lights were on, and there was no explanation posted for the closure. This is not the first time this has happened — and it’s unacceptable.
When a business advertises 24/7 service, people depend on that, especially travelers, night-shift workers, and emergency stops. Closing without notice undermines trust and puts people in a bind when other local options are limited. Either honor the hours you post, or change them. False advertising, even in a small town, still matters.
I hope management addresses this pattern, updates their hours online and on-site if necessary, and starts treating customer reliability as a priority.

How about if your sign says you're open, then be open. Doors are locked with a sign that says open 24/7, but nope, that's a lie. I'm from another state, and I kinda needed the damn gas. Thanks for nothing.

They charged 1.47 for a cup of ice. I brought my own cup! They sneakily took it from my gas money I needed to get home I won't be back!

Great employees and good prices. Only one problem.... Sign stated Ruffle chips were $1.49 each or if you purchased 2 they were $1.00 each. It rang up both bags at $1.49 each when I asked the cashier said that is what is in the computer and the owner needs to change that. I wouldn't have bought two bags had I had know this.
