I'm a sucker for good deals, and compared to the other major hardware stores' prices, everything at harbor freight is on clearance. Some might say they tools and accessories are of a lesser quality, but I've had just as many broken bits or questionable quality concerns out of things bought at a premium from the big three stores . So I'm aLOT less aggravated when the drill bit I'm leaning on too hard breaks off under the unreasonable pressure of a determined electrician on a mission when it cost me 50 cents instead of 7 big fat dollars.

Bought a drywall sander from Harbor Freight and when I went to use it I noticed that the tool had already been used and was missing several pieces. Went to exchange the sander and was told they would not accept it.

Went to purchasea Christmas present. Had to use restroom it was locked asked an employee if I needed a key. He said they keep them locked grunts and walks away. Didn't even say where I could get a key. Taking my money elsewhere.

Check your receipt every time. This is the second time they've charged me for a protection plan for something when I've said explicitly I did not want it. Whoever is training the folks at the registers has clearly made the point that they get some sort of bonus or some sort of 'points' for it, but it's not an accident when it happens repeatedly.

I used to shop at Harbor Freight but after going in the store I have found out that the store no longer has the best price for tools looked at a socket set 24.99 price tag looked up on Walmart and same size socket set 14.99 just a lot of price difference between the two stores.
