Recently had my mac sent here for a repair that was supposed to be covered under my warranty, they literally just want to get money out of innocent people and my mac came back more damaged than when i sent it out. Moral of the story is always go straight to apple, they were smart enough to actually realize my problem fell under the warranty. Never returning and has but a negative image on best buy for me, do better.

Excellent workplace, there is a positive environment and all workers are taken into account, regardless of race, nationality or gender. You work as a team in a very pleasant and professional environment.

i went to go get my laptop fixed and they are sending it to this warehouse. i expressed that i don't want my laptop fixed anymore as it still works perfectly and this company still manages to send my laptop to this crusty place. bruh y'all literally released a customer's innocent photos to inappropriate websites and still don't care about your customers. y'all even released another customer's private files to the public and got sued because you guys don't care about anybody's privacy. i want my laptop back now

I bought a Roomba from Best Buy and sprung for the 2 year extended warranty. The machine started having problems about a year in so we took it back to be repaired. After about 3 weeks, the repair status online read "Evaluating your repair, may need replacement" (no one made an attempt to contact me). Geek squad would not discuss resolution over the phone but instead insisted I make an appointment at my local Best Buy. Turns out this is so they can use high pressure sales tactics to try to upsell you - more on this in a bit. So my fiancée shows up for the appointment and is basically told the machine has to be replaced. She says "fine" - we had 9 months or so left on the extended warranty. Oh but wait, there's a catch! That extended warranty you bought is only good up until they replace the machine at which point your warranty is void and you have to buy a brand new $260 extended warranty for the replacement machine. "But that's now how warranties work!" I hear you say. Unfortunately, at Geek Squad, you'd be wrong. Other highlights: * Salesperson tried to pressure fiancée into signing up for a $200 warranty service covering all our devices. She said she wasn't comfortable doing that because it wasn't her account. The salesperson who is apparently living in the 1950s says to her, "Oh right, I bet he doesn't let YOU make those sorts of decisions". Yikes. * Salesperson was overheard talking to his manager saying our device had "already been scrapped because they didn't have the part to fix it". They didn't tell us this of course. So the scam is to trash our device rather than fix it and then try to upsell us a new warranty. Sounds an awful lot like fraud to me! We took a store credit for the device and I'll be calling corporate about the warranty on Monday but wow, stay FAR away from this mess.

STAY AWAY, I took my failed hard drive to Best Buy one month ago. What a big mistake, I had no idea what I was getting into. To make a long story short, one month later I have not received my hard drive recovered. They had to send it to their Recovery Center in Kansas I believe. I went back to the store where I took it in Jensen Beach, Florida, and they could not find out the status of my repair. Service and staff is absolutely terrible. I am very sorry that I have to write this but my frustration is very high!

They've had my computer for 2 weeks and despite my complaints being escalated I haven't received ONE update. Kind of crazy how you can't speak directly to a person at the store over the phone. Better communication would be really nice.
