Sonora government hosted a town fireworks show. Kid's activities, food truck and others available. The inside dining area was available for air conditioning relief and restrooms (very nice features). After dark, a fireworks show in the lake area with good views. This has a park like setting and the hosts have events throughout the year. Parking was a short walk for most with spillover parking available at nearby businesses. We look forward to other events here.

Thurman Landing is the perfect stop whether for an over night stay, a vacation or a special event venue such as a wedding or party. The property has many choices to choose from. There is the historical landmark property that is used as a bed and breakfast, there is another guest house that sleeps 12-14, and a guest cottage with a honeymoon sweet overlooking a park and lake. Set in the front porch and listen to the train horns in the distance or the Amish with their horse and carriages clunking along the streets. A rare find but a perfect place!

We LOVED this venue and would recommend it to any couples that are looking for a beautiful wedding venue that is convenient and affordable. Renee and her team were a tremendous help in our planning and the execution of our day. They made sure everything was taken care of and it was a stress free day for us and our families. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding or venue!
