My grandchildren love to come to this store. There is a great collection of Lodge cast iron cookware, clothing, crockery, et al. There is memorabilia from not only the Bryson family past, but the heritage of people from the hollow. Every third Saturday is "pickin' and singin" and occasionally a potluck "pitch-in" meal. The Bryson family also has a baseball field across the road from the store which hosts games during the summer. For those of you who like music, baseball, visiting a museum, "meet and greet" type get togethers, or shopping at a real general store, you cannot go wrong visiting Bryson's General Store.

Spent Saturday afternoon at Bryson's General Store, Rt. 2 South Shore, KY looking at all the vintage items as well a new items in the store. It is really an escape to the yesteryears and brings back memories. I also talked to the store owner and when I told her who my mother and aunt and uncle was. She led me to a photo display that had my Aunt Eura/UncleEskel's photo in her display. So emotional. Also had a display of some beautiful jewelry, handmade, with earrings made with guitar picks that were beautiful. Of course, I bought a pair. Have some free afternoons , take a trip to Bryson's. you won't regret it. Also, it happened to be the 3rd weekend, so they had good country music and an assortment of home made desserts, along with hot dogs, etc.
