First of all, the hosts, Carol and Rich were awesome! Very accommodating and communicated well! Didn’t feel like you were staying in a hotel or something like that but their home. They were great about being present and help but also respectful of our privacy. We stayed in the cherry blossom room and it was amazing! The area is awesome as well! I am a bourbon drinker so we went to Limestone distillery, that one was our favorite. Great time there and definitely look forward to coming back someday.Nearby activities: On the bourbon trailSafety: Very peaceful and quite place with not a lot of city things near by.

My husband and I just stayed here over the weekend and I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was. We were greeted by Carol and given a tour. The house was beautiful and smelled amazing (something delicious she was whipping up in the kitchen). The room was spacious and clean and overlooked the fields behind the house. I loved all of the little details. The next morning we were greeted with the most delicious breakfast and coffee before we started our trek home. We hope one day to return for even longer.

This was our last stop in our trip around Kentucky and definitely our favorite stay. The home and the owners were amazing. The location is about 25 minutes from Bardstown and the official bourbon capital. Bardstown has several distilleries on the trail as well as being a great small town. There are several dining choices in Bardstown for dinner. Rich and Carol will more than cover you on breakfast. As an added bonus, the art was a great addition. We stayed in the Giant Sunflower room - and it was big but homey and comfortable. This did have a shared bathroom which was also sizeable - the other room was not occupied so we did get to have it to ourselves. I wouldn't hesitate to share as it's big enough to separate your belongings if need be. We also took a night time stroll back through the gravel road and back to the home (around a 1 mile loop). We will definitely stay here again if we go back on the trail.

An absolutely beautiful location, comfortable and eclectic, amazing inn keepers, food is freshly prepared and delicious. Rooms are private and very comfortable. If you want to be in the middle of the bourbon trail but enjoy a restful escape at the same time, definitely choose this amazing location!

Home has been lovingly restored and I love the mix of antiques with more contemporary art; original art by the proprietors themselves! Rooms are beautiful and comfortable and you could not ask for more gracious hosts than Rich and Carol.

My husband and I spent the weekend at this lovely bed and breakfast for a last minute getaway. This is the best bed and breakfast I have ever experienced! The home is beautiful and immaculate with gorgeous views of the surrounding acreage. Conveniently located off a main road, the inn is easy driving distance to anything you want to see in the area, but it's far away from traffic and noise. I'm so glad we stayed here instead of places right in Bardstown or the area immediately surrounding it. Carol provides an outstanding breakfast with fresh, quality ingredients. Our suite (Blackberry Blossom) could not have been nicer. We enjoyed the comfortable soaking tub and huge shower! We could easily have hung out at the inn just relaxing all day. The weather wasn't quite warm enough for the pool, but it looks great. Rich and Carol have done a fantastic job of preserving the historic roots of this home while also adding modern, artistic touches for a fresh look. We even came home and ordered four of the chairs that are in the breakfast room! Highly recommend and will tell friends to check this place out.

Not every room had it's own bathroom. If you can get past that then you have your choice among a suite of many pleasant experiences. Those included Carol & Rich, the excellent keepers, to delightful breakfast to a wonderful home and vista. Convenient enough to hit the trail while distanced enough to feel like you're in the country, this place is highly recommended.

Wife and I found this B&B to stay at for a short weekend visit on the Bourbon Trail. Rich and Carol have a beautiful place. Our breakfast was delicious with items like bacon, French toast, eggs Benedict, hot coffee and fresh blueberries! Our room was very clean and comfortable. The Inn has various rooms from simple to luxury to suit all tastes. We will be back as we continue visiting the Bourbon trail as it’s very central to many of the distilleries including Makers Mark, Willet, Limestone Branch, Jim Beam and more.

We only stayed one night but felt welcomed and comfortable immediately. Rich and Carol are very nice down to earth people. We stayed in the Giant Sunflower room which was plenty big and well appointed the bathroom was down the hall and also had plenty of room and a nice shower. Would definitely recommend a stay here if your visiting the area.

My wife and I stayed two nights in this wonderful, large farmhouse. If we could, we would have stayed so much longer! Our room, (the Sunflower, ) was very large, well appointed, clean and with a comfortable bed. It was SO quiet there, EXACTLY what was needed. A sumptuous breakfast was provided both mornings, and were within driving distance of many cool attractions. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone!
