Sticks Stones and Stitches is a fantastic Appalachian gift shop located in Stanton, Kentucky, in the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park area. The building is distinct and hard to miss, with beautiful window displays that immediately draw you in. This handmade gifts and crafts store represents more than 50 artists from around Kentucky, offering unique, one-of-a-kind items mostly from the region. The shop features three rooms of various items to check out, making you feel at home. It is the perfect place to get gifts and other memorabilia. Available items include handmade cutting boards, jewelry, local pottery, wood-turned oil lamps, wood burning, crochet and knitting, watercolor paintings and prints, clothing, kitchenware, artwork, mirrors, ceramics, quilts, goat milk products, honey, candles, soap, lotions, and pillows. There is plenty to see, with much more to the left and right of the store. The shop has a delightful aroma, most likely from the candle and wax products. The owner is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and full of recommendations, greeting visitors at the front desk directly upon entry. Prices are mid-tier but certainly affordable. It is a magnificent, cozy, and glorious place to visit for excellent locally made crafts.
