Someone in my family bought me a bottle of spiced cider from this place. It tasted like it had a pound of cinnamon in it. It was undrinkable. I love cinnamon, but it was overpowering. I thought if I watered it down it would taste better, but then I couldn’t taste the cider. I poured it down the sink. This place looks like a bunch of expensive junk.

Third time( valentine’s, anniversary, and birthday) visited and I still love the place, my eyes were so happy to see endless beautiful items. The food is always great and fairytale decorations around downstairs.

If you like antiques or fine dining, then this may be the place for you. This place is like a museum of antiquities. Many of the antiques are locally oriented. Many of the nearby properties are wealthy families who have had the means to travel and collect antiques. The generation at hand will turn over treasures to a company that knows and appreciates the history of their heirlooms. This place is beautiful and has eloquently grouped heirlooms of so many families with care, all for the purpose of selling. It is a record of history. It is a museum for many of our families to tour and share our stories of like items in our past. Our group had no intentions of buying anything, although we would have liked to. We all enjoyed reminiscing within this fantastic collection of antiquities. There was also a wonderful collection of Holliday orniments. This historic building also has a gorgeous dining area downstairs. The decorating is impeccable. I hear the menu is delightful, but no prices were displayed. Dress nicely if you plan on dining.

Buyer beware! Many absolutely beautiful items for sale. Unfortunately my dealing with one of the owners has definitely left me less than pleased. The lady kindly had helped us with getting 2 pieces of Fenton glass. She showed us another piece of glass which I told her was not Fenton and explained how I could tell. As we were checking out she came to me with another vase. Told her I did not believe it was Fenton. She said, “Oh it is Fenton. I have done my homework on this piece.”On her word I purchased the vase. It is indeed NOT Fenton. So sad that with all the fantastic items available for sale, an untruth was told to sell an item priced at $69.50. So yes BUYER BEWARE!

Irish Acres is an absolute GEM in Central Kentucky. There’s a reason people visit from all over the nation. The collection of top quality antiques is fantastic, but I love the beautiful jewelry and art even more. To top it off, Irish Acres is run by the BEST people. Emilie, Jane, and Anna are so lovely to work with. I’ll keep coming back again and again!
