I like to purchase my dog food from Petco but half the time the store in my town doesn’t have what I need so I’m forced to go out of town and get what I need. Sometimes I even have to go to another change store. They need to do a better job at stocking.

I went in to buy allergy and immune chews for my cats.
I noticed the price was higher at the store than what it was online
When I got to the register , an Employee named Ashley was checking people out, when it was my turn, I asked her about the price difference and she said they could match their online price offer
I thought great and I also have a 25% off coupon
My phone would not connect to the Internet for some reason and I couldn’t pull any of it up. She insisted there was no way for her to help me at all pull up the item to show her It was cheaper online, As that was the only way she was going to Do the price match.
She kept saying it’s policy we’re not allowed to pull it up
We’re not allowed to price match for you, I said you’re not. My Internet is not working on my phone. She said she couldn’t help me.
I called my son while I was standing at the register to have him pull up on his phone and send me the Screenshot of the item in the price difference
She cut right in my conversation with my son and said we can’t do that either. I said you can’t look at the picture to see the price difference if somebody sends it to me? She said again, no it’s policy
I asked her where these policies were located so I could read them for myself. Then she said It just recently changed. My DM will give you a call And go over our policies with you. I said you have got to be kidding me I could not believe that lack of customer service unprofessionalism, and downright rudeness of this employee Ashley
Ashley, FYI, customer service is going above and beyond to take care of the customer!
Finally, I just said I’ll call Coorporate myself. She said go ahead. My name is Ashley.
That is not the first rude employee. I have come across in that store.
And they Constantly advertise great customer service. Well, where is it?
I think the employees there need to take a lesson in customer service

I am so disappointed with the customer service at the store. I went in for dog food, couldn’t find what I was looking for, came across two employees who were chatting until they saw me, then they scattered. I gave up the search for the dog food and ended up picking up a couple of other items and went to the front counter to check out. The checkout guy was one of the employees from earlier and asked if I had found everything I was looking for. I said no. He went no further to offer any assistance and did not comment to my no. Just checked me out and said have a great day.

Went in to buy Pet IDs for someone. No one to help anywhere in site. I had to ring a bell and wait. The two tags I purchased were mispriced by $6 each. Staff didn't bother to correct the error (tags were ringing up incorrectly). The machine to perform the engraving is in front of the automatic door, so it opened non stop.
