A Family member of mine has a storage locker at this place . She has been using the facility for a few years now having used a few lockers . Overall it’s clean , secure , and convenient .
***That being said****
Customers are required to supply or purchase their own lock . No problem right ? Right .
UNLESS …..You lose the key to your locker lock. If this happens, (U-Haul storage rules say that they are to be notified and they will call A Locksmith for the customer . It’s against the rules to cut you’re own lock …..Because of Insurance (injury ) (damage control ) Understandable, right ? Not so much. You would think that this being the policy that they would want to have reliable, Professional, Effective Locksmith’s to Open or Remove your lock , that there would be one or a few Locksmith’s that they would call in these situations . Right ?? Maybe they do..? The front desk representative wasn’t aware. “Locksmith “was googled instead …and they just called the first one on the search page. Good grief !!!! A young middle eastern man in an unmarked car wearing a sweat suit pulls up . Has two drills and various drill bits and attempts to drill the key hole out hoping to trigger the pin inside. Really ??? Little buddy tried but he had all kinds of problems. He Cut himself, burned himself from the scorching drill bits, destroyed the pin and key hole to the lock . after almost an hour of this nonsense I finally asked him why he hadn’t just brought bolt cutters???? The answer to this is they don’t usually drill padlocks, turns out they program car keys and or change door locks . Good call front desk …Great choice!!! We finally asked that he stop drilling (lol)!! He didn’t object . lol. We paid him $30 for coming. Removing one of these locks takes about 60 seconds from beginning to end it turns out … wink , wink . Because common sense…and Bolt cutters!!! That we may or may not have gotten from the hardware store . After that first choice on the google search , and zero vetting by the front desk worker . I actually asked the lady why they use these people ; *assuming* that they use a trusted company to remove locks in THEIR facilities . That is when she told me about her way of finding this poor guy . No looking at reviews I asked ? “No” she replied , they were the first on the list of my google search. Reviews ? No…zero research…..Had no clue ….This BEING THEIR POLICY MIND YOU!!!!! Turns out the company she called has more than a few negative reviews (negligence) . Hopefully our keys to our new lock 🔐 are not misplaced or lost, but if they do happen to go missing I am good with a pair of
($79.99 ) Bolt Cutters ….

Wow!! This location saved the day and I was super impressed with the facility and the condition of their trucks.
After a scheduling disaster with three different Frankfort, KY locations, this Versailles location hit a home run with their customer service, knowledge, and professionalism.
I will not hesitate to use them in the future, even with the added miles.
Their truck was in much better cosmetic condition than the Frankfort stock.
It ran perfectly and had very cold AC.

Rachel at the Versailles location was awesome. Very friendly and helpful. I use U Haul exclusively for my needs and this is exactly why I do!!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Made a reservation a week in advance to do a late night pick up for a van, got called 20 minutes before close the day of pickup only to be told that this location doesn’t do late night pick up. Asked how we were able to make the reservation on the first place if this location doesn’t offer this service, was met with “I don’t know”. Was told that we would have to get the van the following morning at 7am. Waited out at the front door the following morning at 7:01 and no one was there to open the store. Another employee sat in the corner of the parking lot and watched us stand there for almost 20 minutes while driving one of the U-Haul vehicles when he saw that we were on the phone and then decided to drive up and let us know what was happening. I question as to if anyone at that store has any idea how their own system works. Desk employee was polite, other employee chimed in with little smart comments trying to be funny. Time and place my friend, time and place.

These people are the worst . You call to find out information; then the day of your rental it’s like all H-LL breaks loose. If you’re prepared to be lied to ; let down, and mostly ignored .. you will love this place . They will mess up your reservation and then lie to you about it . What ever you do don’t expect anything to go correctly . Good luck - run away

I needed three different sized boxes for moving televisions. Danielle was so helpful when I called for information and also when I went in to purchase them. She was trying to help me load the largest box in my suv and it wasn’t going to fit! Another employee, Mike Niece, pulled up and saw the issue. He volunteered to take the box to my son’s house in Georgetown from Versailles. I have had such amazing customer service! They went over and beyond to help us and we really appreciate it! I highly recommend using this Uhaul location! Thank you!

We used the Versailles, Kentucky location in the old Kroger Plaza off of route 60. Jonathan was very helpful and communicative on the front end of the process. The lady who greeted us at drop off was also very friendly and helpful. The location is also very convenient.

Good luck EVER getting anyone here to answer you phone! The only to get a return call is to act like you want to rent a storage unit then sometimes they will call you back!
God forbid you need any help! This location is worthless!
And calling the customer service is no better! Sent pics to prove fuel was wrong and I should not have been harmed and they said oh yeah we see that sorry about that and NEVER refunded!
U-Haul has gotten much worse over the years may send you people to Penske for some training!!!

Had a reservation for a truck at 8 am, store “opens” at 7. Arrived at 7:45, not a soul in sight, doors locked. Called corporate phone number, manager’s only help was that they offered to move our reservation 30+ mins from the location nearest to my house. Absolute circus.

Drove by and saw a Blue Rhino propane cage right outside the entrance. Full of propane tanks. Went inside and the rep said they don't do propane. I kept referencing the cage outside. They guy kept saying they wish they did do it. Guy wouldn't even acknowledge the cage existed. Weirdest encounter I've ever had.

It was a smooth process to rent a U-Haul trailer at this location. After placing a reservation on the app, we walked in, got hooked up and we were on our way in less than 30 minutes. Rose is the best just like I had read in the prior reviews. ???
