The TABASCO Country Store on Avery Island in Louisiana is part of a very informative and interesting self-guided tour. The experience is a fantastic and glorious treat for TABASCO enthusiasts, allowing them to explore the history and innovations of the famous sauce. Visitors can walk through different buildings, including a museum with beautiful artifacts, a greenhouse replica, a barrel warehouse viewing, and a blending station. The tour provides a neat look into how the signature TABASCO sauce, a labor of love five generations in the making, is crafted from peppers, Avery Island mined salt, and vinegar. The Country Store itself is a major highlight, featuring an exclusive selection of products and samples. Guests can try all the sauces, from the regular hot sauce to the much hotter Habanero and Scorpion brands, using pretzels for tasting. They also offer TABASCO soft serve ice cream, which is interesting to try. The store sells a savory selection of hot sauces, pepper sauces, tangy marinades, snacks, and gifts like cozy covers and hot sauce sets. The staff at the admissions desk and in the store are super friendly, kind, informative, and inviting. The surrounding grounds include the 170-acre natural beauty of Jungle Gardens. The facility is very clean, though a few stations could use better upkeep. Tickets must be purchased online ahead of time, as no cash is accepted on the facilities. While the adjacent restaurant was noted to have a cafeteria feel and very hot food, the overall experience of the tour and store is highly recommended for its fun, informative, and rich TABASCO culture.

Loved the spicy soft serve ice cream. Great deals on the hot sauces. Fun merchandise. Informative staff. The Family Reserve version of their classic Tabasco is awesome! The tasting bar should not be missed.

We loved our visit. Ronda was quite helpful in the tasting area. I just wished I had taken a picture of that area. Lunch was also amazing.
