For 2 yrs in a row, my daughter's beginning swimming lessons were cancelled. I was never notified until showing up on what was supposed to be day 1. My lovely wife prepared daughter for lessons today and when she arrived, she learned the class wouldn't happen. Apparently the instructors were not available again. I have to jump through 1 million rings to get a refund for services not rendered. Some of the worst customer service you could imagine. Apparently, Mishka, a director of some sort has to approve of the refund, but I can't get in touch with her. I guess I'll have to show up in person AGAIN to get my money back.

The current “manager” is very rude, and lack basic customer service skills.

My family goes to this facility. The 4 stars is representing a good facility with potential to be great. Areas for improving: open gym bias, engagement of trainers to keep folk safe on the free weights and resistance machines. The morning desk coordinator is great.

I have been a member of the AC LEWIS YMCA for a little over a year. I have lost weight and inches. I am healthy and loving life. I come five days a week. The people are helpful, loving and encouraging.

A huge variety of machines. All well maintained. The facility also has 2 heated pools. An indoor pool used mostly for classes and water aerobics. The outdoor pool is mostly for doing laps. Most all members are friendly and courteous. Occasionally some do not follow the rules such as wiping down machines when finished or playing music with headphones loud enough that everyone can hear them. However the benefits and friendly staff make up for those small annoyances.

The people are friendly and caring. I am now retired and loving life. AC Lewis have helped me to get where I am today healthy in mind body, soul and Spirit...Prophetess Pastor Ruth Brown

Great place, awesome staffThis one location is vital to many elderly, military veterans and disabled people because of its heated indoor pool, steam room and sauna. We rely on these three things due to the winter cold, illnesses such as CoPD and other ailments and allergies.Only wish the higher up management would be more transparent when it comes to keeping its members informed about closures and upcoming renovations. Their lack of transparency leads to too many speculations and rumors.

Good place to exercise for all ages. I’m 73. I used to come to this Y when I was a teenager. Always lifted weights. Still a good gym. Clean and good people.

This is my favorite gym in Baton Rouge by far. I enjoy the amenities greatly and the pool. Just started a month ago!

6yo Son attended swimming lessons. We had an amazing time. I had an amazing time! Proud Mom moment choosing the "Y". He was very nervous initially. Going from not even knowing how to hold his breath to fully confident in only a matter of days! Khalil Jordan as his swim coach worked VERY well with the children, was a great swim coach, and always very professional! Phenomenal job! Rian and Khalil both worked here and another location. Rian was also very professional and she made the effort to reach out and communicate with each parent reguarding class cancelations, reschedules, make-ups as well as location changes. If I had to make the decision on swim classes for my son again I would definitely choose YMCA!

It's not my home gym, but this is where I go when I visit Baton Rouge. They have lots of space in both the cardio and weight rooms, unlike some of the other locations around. The locker room is dated, but they still have a sauna, whirlpool, and steam room, which are disappearing everywhere.

Pool closed an hour before the gym, no sign posted anywhere with the pool’s hours. Lifeguards also didn’t give any kind of warning, just “Pool’s closed now” at 2:57pm.
