I would highly recommend that you NOT use AAA or Railbookers (RB)to plan a trip Myhusband, sister and I went in ~two years before our trip and explained to the AAA representative that we wanted to go to Switzerland and Paris We scheduled another meeting with the AAA person and the RB person he liked to work with at RB. My sister left work early and we drove in from out of town for this meeting only to sit there for over an hour to wait for the RB person to be free to talk via phone. The AAA person scheduled another meeting with this RB representative and us.We went back to the office only to find that his RB friend couldn’t get on the phone with so we had to use someone else. At that time we had received the itinerary from Railbookers and AAA with several issues. (i.e.The main itinerary would say we would be in one town, but the train ticket itinerary would say we would be in a different town. We only had 2 tickets instead of 3 for some venues)At that time, we also decided to go into Paris first and then into Switzerland . During our meetings with the AAA and RB people we had made it clear that even though they sent two separate itineraries for each city that this was one continuous trip >Paris to Switzerland and not flying into Switzerland as the 1st itinerary had. We made this clear to both representatives several times throughout our meetings. We asked that all the hotel cost be included in the price that we were paying upfront. We said that we wanted to go on an evening cruise for the Seine River while we were in Paris. The AAA representative told us that they had found an aperitif cruise that we could go on in the evening, he said only evening cruise available The morning of the cruise we were scheduled on a big bus city tour and when we received our tickets for the big bus city tour, it included us being able to go on a Seine river cruise up to nine to 10 o’clock in the evening, but it was too late for us to cancel the aperitif cruise and get our money back. So essentially AAA and Railbookers charged us for 2 cruises when we only requested and had time to do one. There were several hotels that we had to pay city taxes on, even though we were told that everything had already been included in the hotel cost when we paid for the itineraries. Railbookers made all of the train reservations for the trip. Railbookers booked us train tickets from Paris to the main train station in Zürich with a hotel near that train station yet they bought our next ticket near the Switzerland airport to our next city They never changed the beginning of the 1st itinerary, even though they were told several times that we were coming straight from Paris going to Switzerland and they made those same arrangements but did not catch their mistake. When I returned home I wrote the manager of AAA a letter explaining these issues and requesting a refund of the money we payed for the aperitif cruise as we had only asked for 1 cruise and had already paid for it on the bus tour cruise as well as repayment for the city hotel taxes and the difference in the cost of the ticket from the airport because it was a two zone ticket instead of the one zone ticket that we needed. A month later I. reached out again and she responded saying that the only thing they could do was give me a $150 voucher to use at Railbookers within the next year. I emailed her back explaining that I would not be using rail bookers within the next year and wanted a refund of the money I was overcharged Also, when we were traveling into Switzerland one of the train times on the itinerary they gave us had changed and we were very anxious trying to google website train stations to figure out what we needed to do and a young man on the train told us there was an app we could download to see all of the train schedules throughout Switzerland from that one app. It would have been nice if one of our travel agents had told us that in the beginning since all of our transportation from city to city was on trains. It would’ve been a lot less stressful for us.

Up until this phone call, I would've given AAA 6+ stars easily! About 10 years with auto insurance and family membership. In fact, I still love the services they offer and have had nothing but stellar experiences. My absolutely amazing agent retired about a year ago, give or take. I just got around to trying to have a new agent assigned to me.
Apparently, AAA has a policy, once your agent retires, you CANNOT be reassigned to an agent. You simply have to hope whoever takes your call is knowledgeable and friendly.
According to two agents, one in Baton Rouge and one in Metairie, in order for me to have one specific person I call/email directly, I must quit AAA, go somewhere else, then return. A policy seemingly trying to sabotage AAA's own business.
My main draw to AAA and the source of my usual giddiness after every interaction is/was the rapport I had built working with the same person over a period of time. Such a pleasantly dramatic contrast to the sterile, automated, DIY society we exist in! It's more rewarding for both parties. Speaking with a different person every time feels cold as there is no personal investment in the interaction, no motivation to make sure every last discount has been applied and every question has been answered clearly and with kindness. Also, on the flip-side, it creates a reason for the customer to be warm and patient.
I hope AAA changes this policy. Up until this point, I have had no desire to look for competitive pricing because the satisfaction and confidence in my agent kept me from considering it.

My spouse tried to contact the office all day July 5th about his insurance concerns. He never received an answer. He called back Monday July 8th. He received a pick up but they hung up the phone immediately after. When he called back , he was put in touch with a lady claiming to be a supervisor of the name of Kia Campbell I believe. He calmly explained his situation to her but got confused when she gave him 2 different answers. When He asked for clarity, she caught a very rude & disrespectful attitude telling him that he "must doesn't understand" & dismissing his concerns & also denying the claims of him stating that he has been called the office. When asked to speak with the supervisor, she got really loud & GHETTO , saying that SHE'S the supervisor. When asked to speak to HR , she tried to connect the call & refused to repeat her name. But Ms. Kia Campbell definitely needs to be terminated because she obviously doesn't know that customer service is definitely the first & most important part of her job.

This branch of AAA is horrible, untrustworthy & crooks!! Their auto insurance is overpriced - $900 a month! They increased our car insurance monthly premium 3 times!!! We canceled our policy after they took an unauthorized amount from our bank account & 3 months later we are still waiting our refund check.... they keep giving us the run around, it's a SHAME!

I've had the worst experiences ever with the Baton Rouge AAA location. The rates are overpriced, the representatives, management & their business procedures are unethical & untrustworthy. I'm going to report them to the Better Business Breau for theft & fraud.

Never showed up. Sat for two hours; called them back they didn’t even have anyone coming and no record of ever dispatching someone. 40 year member here. I’m going to find a different service provider.

My husband and I arrived on Saturday at 9am to get an international driver’s permits for an upcoming trip. The employee working that day was standing outside waiting for the agent with the key to show up. We waited for over 40 minutes in the parking lot. I was going to leave a 1 star review at that point BUT once inside, Sherita, made an unpleasant situation pleasant. She was personable, friendly, and professional. Thank you Sherita.

They are not reliable for roadside assistance and deal with shady companies. Was told at 3:45 pm they would have a battery call truck with a replacement battery to my daughter within an hour. Received a call at 4:34 from Cole at United Towing saying the truck was 25/30 mins out. Told him the towing place closed at 5 and inquiried about battery. He said he didn't have batteries in inventory and was just doing a jump. My daughter and I pushed the vehicle out of the tow yard. We waited until 5:28 and Cole called again and said he was 25 mins out. He then denied he had called and said it just have been someone else. Still waiting....in a bad part of town and the sun is setting. Two calls to AAA basically got nothing but a manager would call to see about my complaint. This is not the service to use for women or children. Still waiting 5:58 pm - he went to the wrong address. Another 20 mins maybe.

I Luv AAA Service. They really saved me money for this Year from having to pay Monthly for Membership. There Services do help when most needed. I like the Anual Membership better because everything is included for the Year, and you only have to pay once a year around the time your Membership is due. This is definitely a plus for me, and I recommend to anyone with a vehicle. AAA is Awesome to have for emergency situations on the road or just for your Vehichle issues.
