Dr Leonards is always patient with me asking questions about Ree Ree. Tech Kendel (sp?) was very friendly and caring about my dog. Great visit, and the Yourgi Best Life package I purchased seems to be money well spent! Thank you!

Dr. Lisa was wonderful with my boy, Hank! He was treated at the Vet school for his ear hematoma that then reoccurred three days later. We took him to AHC for further care. She treated him at half the cost and a tenth of the time. Very sweet to him and professional. Highly recommend!

Dr. Tim Leonard was incredibly caring and thorough in his firs meeting with our 16 year old Beardie. Our previous vet retired and we were concerned that a new vet would not be interested in caring for a new patient that was 16 years old…we were very wrong! Dr. Leonard was great, concerned and thorough with his new patient, mush appreciated.

Lack of empathy and professionalism by vets and young office staff. I had both of my dogs with Animal Health Clinic. My 10lb dog got sick and I took her in to see Dr McClendon on a Friday in May. They do not keep sick animals over the weekend so I brought my dog home and monitored her until Monday morning when I took her back in. Dr McClendon was out on vacation at this point and I was given a call from Dr Leonard. He spoke at me with medical terms but then when I went to pick my dog up he would not speak to me in person or answer any questions. The young girl working the front desk snarkily told me they called the vet school and it was going to be $3-4k per day to keep my dog alive. I left believing I was putting my dog down. I tried asking her about the process and I was trying to decide if I would spend more time with my dog that day before having to go and say goodbye. The young girl at Animal Health Clinic was very snarky and insinuating that the cost was too high and basically my dog was too old to save and that the vet was too busy to answer my questions and would not see me. When I got to the vet school after a very long cry alone in my car, I found out that price was covering everything for her entire 2 week stay. I had to bring my dog back in for her annual appointment at animal health clinic a couple months later and she was so traumatized and shaking when we went back to Dr Leonard. I’ve never seen her like that. Even with all of the blood tests and having to be shaved and poked at every 2 weeks now for months at the LSU Vet school, she is excited when we arrive and she loves her vet, Dr Lee. Yesterday I tried taking my 110lb Rottweiler in to the vet. I adopted him a year ago in July and we have been using AHC since last October. Dr Leonard suggested that we go in during non busy times to acclimate my Rottweiler to the facilities and I have made time monthly now to go. The young girls that have been hired to work the front office are obviously part time highschool/college workers and there is no professionalism there. I’ve been told so many conflicting things and I’ve learned that when people aren’t being paid appropriately to do the work they are given and they have no decent management over them this is what you see. We have been treated like a nuisance repeatedly when I’ve asked to take him into rooms and work with him (just as dr Leonard asked I do) and the girls working the office obviously do not understand how far sound travels. Yesterday I took my Rottweiler in for our annual and I was scheduled for 10am on a Tuesday. I specifically picked this time believing it would be slower. I also recently muzzle trained my dog. We waited until 11:30 for our appointment with dr Leonard, being told 45 minutes into the wait that he had some sort of “meeting”. Finally at an hour and a half, we were in the smallest room available at the clinic and Dr Leonard expressed to me how he didn’t know how much they could get done with my dog that day. Maybe if we had actually began the appointment on time and not had him muzzled for an hour and a half straight before I was given this information from Dr Leonard would I have taken it differently but I am exhausted with being nickled and dimed yet given no respect and treated ridiculously. The conversation he chose to have at that point should have happened over the phone a week prior when I made the appointment for 10am, not at 11:30 with the door wide open and Dr Hatchett obviously eavesdropping. It was odd and had been rehearsed and it seemed that the wait and the smallest room was all to aggravate me and my dog. I walked out and switched to the vet school.

Truly compassionate and caring team. They handled my kitties so gently and were more than helpful and understanding in my situation. And although they do not offer payment plans, they were completely transparent about their pricing and very reasonable. I couldn’t be happier about finding such a wonderful veterinarian. I can trust them with all my pets’ needs.

They have taken THE BEST care of my dog Louie since we started coming here a few months ago. I had multiple other vets in the area look at a broken tooth and recommended to leave it in. After consulting at Animal Health Clinic, they recommended immediately removing the tooth. After xrays and doctor consults, they removed the tooth today and found that it was an incredibly infected tooth that should have been removed a long time ago. They called every hour or so with updates to make sure I was never out of the loop during the process and the doctor himself called me after the surgery to talk for 10 minutes about his recovery. I am so pleased with Animal Health Clinic, start to finish. Thank you to the front office staff who were amazing with communications and patient with my many questions and Thank you to all three doctors there who all had a hand in helping Louie get better. We are forever grateful for the diligent care we've received here.

Dr. Hackett is very sweet, knowledgeable, and personable. The staff at AHC are also very sweet and personable. They are very reasonable (price wise) too. They broke down the price of everything for me so there were no surprises at the end when I received the bill. I have never written a review on an Vet until now! I highly recommend.

They were empathetic, thorough and very kind. We brought our beloved 13 year old lab in with lameness in her legs. They really took their time and explained everything they were doing. Would definitely use again.

I brought my deceased kitty here to be cremated. The staff was very understanding and empathetic of my situation. They did a beautiful job regarding the cremation; the clay paw print memento they made with my kitty’s paw was very professional and well done. They have a selection of urns, too. The entire facility is well kept and clean.

The staff at Animal Health Clinic are truly the most compassionate, caring people I have ever encountered at any vet clinic. Dr. Lisa Ciolino took care of my very sick 16-year-old cat and she went above and beyond to make the end of his life comfortable and happy. She also took her time to explain his disease to me in terms I could understand so that I could make the best possible decisions in a tough situation. There are no words to describe how much her empathy and kindness have meant to me. I 1000% recommend Dr. Ciolino and the entire veterinary staff at AHC to everyone looking for knowledgeable, welcoming, and kind animal care experts.
