Dr Savannah has no business working with animals! I have been a client at Azalea lakes for 26 years. Let me tell you why I won't be back. 30 minutes wait time is too long for a Vets office. In the lobby your dog is with big dogs who bark loudly, little dogs who are yapping (mine is a yapper), animals that are sick and some who are scared. It sets up a negative atmosphere before your pet is even seen. I brought our not quite 4 month old Jack Russell Terrier in for his puppy booster shots. We got him at 2 months old, at Christmas, so he had not been to the vet yet. When we were brought to the exam room a young lady verified that we were there for puppy booster shots, and then she immediately picked little Jake up and said she was taking him in the back to be weighed and then the Dr would be in to talk with me. About 3 minutes later I heard my puppy screaming in pain! I opened the door to see what happened. There was a group of several people around Jake and one of them said "we're lifting his tail to try and get his temp!" I figured he was scared and being handled by strangers, but he would be back with me to calm him in a minute. For the next 10 minutes I heard my puppy screaming repeatedly. Then Dr Savannah came in (I'm guessing it was Savannah, she never introduced herself) and she put Jake on the exam table roughly and she said, "THAT is a VERY aggressive dog! He's very aggressive! He tries to bite! Are you having him neutered? Bc I do NOT recommend breeding a dog that is this aggressive!" I said that I didn't plan on neutering him. She continued on that it would be a bad idea to breed a dog this aggressive. She said he was late for his shots so they basically had to start over and she listed the shots he had recieved.....WAIT! I said, You already gave him his shots??? She said yes. I said "Well, no wonder he was acting up! He was terrified and you were hurting him! I could have calmed him." She said "No, it was more aggressive than that! They behave worse when their owners are with them. Do you have any questions?NOPE!"Good. You need to get him into obedience classes ASAP and get him socialized!""Savannah didn't know that my puppy has been socialized with classrooms full of children, cats goats and Llamas. Not mine, other peoples. Jake is as obedient as you can expect a 4 month old to be. After we left the clinic we stopped at Walgreens where all the staff and customers wanted to pet Jake and talk to him. He was wiggly bc he loved the attention, but he was not and has never been aggressive!Savannah behaved like a pediatrician who takes your child to another room, gives him shots, takes a rectal temp and then comes in and tells you your kid is a real A-hole. It's also not okay to not tell me what my pet is receiving before you give it to him. Those are deceptive business practices. Savannah spent 10 terrible minutes with my puppy in a strange place with strange people and felt qualified to condemn him as a Very aggressive dog. A bad dog. She was angry and totally without empathy for the puppy's situation. I'm sure it's faster for Savannah not to have to deal with owners. Just take the dogs away, treat them, and return them to the owner with the bill, like we did during covid. It's selfish bc it's all about seeing as many animals as you can as fast as you can, at the animal's expense. I will never recommend this clinic to anyone.

The employees here are always sweet and informative. Very accommodating and provide excellent service. It can get crazy in there with how many pets come through on a daily basis but the staff there knows how to keep it all running exceptionally well. Prices are very fair. We will drive 40 min out of our way for vet and boarding services from Azalea, and thats with another clinic within a 30 second walk from the house.

Brought my kitty, Honey, to Azalea lakes to get her nails clipped. They were super cheerful and nice. Received us with a smile and when they have her back to me they commented on how well behaved she was!I have used these guys for a while now and I am impressed everytime I use them. I used to bring my big dog there. I will be using them for Honey, as they have made Honey and I feel comfortable. Thanks Azalea Lakes!

I dropped my pet off to get an exam because it’s been 9 months since her last heat and I just wanted to make sure everything with her reproductive system was fine. She was dropped off at about 8:30/8:40 a.m. ish and by 4 o’clock I still hadn’t heard anything. I decided to drive there as they would be closing within the next hour. Once I arrived there the girl at the front desk told me it was nothing in the system saying whether anything had been performed or not. This led me to believe that my dog hadn’t been seen at all and she’s just been sitting there for 8 hours. So she calls the vet and they talk on the phone but ofc I’m not sure what was said. She goes to the back and comes back and tells me that the vet is talking to someone and she is waiting to speak with her. After that she leaves again and comes back to tell me that everything was fine with my pet and they had performed an ultrasound. It’s just extremely sketchy because a minute ago on her computer it was showing that nothing was done. On top of that they told me the exam was $58 and an ultrasound if needed would be $120. Well guess what I was told? I didn’t have to pay for anything and we all know nothing in this life is free. Maybe it’s because my dog was there for 8 hours but all in all it seems like I was given the run around. Sad because I actually liked this vet and their prices but after this I’m not sure if I’ll be comfortable leaving or taking my baby here again!

My poor snake went through surgery with them,( without me even knowing they were operating.) and has had multiple infections since then.Edit just wanted to add the full story since he passedTook our snake their, and he had problems ever since then. Took him to a different vet for a different opinion and she said she was 99% sure they cut off the wrong part making him basically unable to poo, and there is no fix for him unfortunately. We bring him back there and she says she will try to help him. The other vet who knew what she was talking about said we should put him down was angry with our opinion to go back there with dr Susan, but said it was our decision and we really wanted to have faith. He stays overnight and he dies within two hours of being home while I'm at work in my girlfriends hand. If you value your pets life spend the extra 200-300 dollars. What would you rather a friend for the next 20 years or a couple extra hundred.

Don't board here. I got my dog back covered in urine and red sores. He's a rescue and I spent months rehabilitating him from the condition at the shelter just to get him back from my vet in just about the same condition as I got him from the shelter. He also lost 3 pounds and is clearly traumatized. I've had good experiences with the vets so I put 2 stars but after this experience I am looking at other vets for the future.

My pet rat Gala had a tumor. I was so worried about it, but when I called up there I could tell they really cared and had lots of experience with mass removal, even on rats. They removed it no problems. I had been trying to find a vet I could trust—they were the right choice. Thank y’all!

They were absolutely amazing!! We raise Rottweilers and alot of people are scared of a "aggressive breed" as they call them but not this vets office. Everyone loved her and it's was a great experience. I will definitely be back and will recommend that all my friends come here for their reproduction needs.
