I have shopping at this location for the past four years and have always appreciated the excellent service I have received. However, I felt compelled to share a recent experience that left me feeling unsettled.
During my visit, my experience began positively. An employee named Jasmine was extremely helpful in recommending a product that I ended up thoroughly enjoying. I greatly appreciated her attentiveness and customer service.
Unfortunately, my experience at checkout was less positive. The cashier(#9815), called me to her register. As I walked to her, I greeted her and asked how she was doing, but I did not receive a response. Which did not bother me at first. When she requested my phone number, I began to provide it, but she raised her hand, signaling that I was going too fast. I immediately adjusted my pace to accommodate her. However, after briefly pausing for her to catch up, she appeared frustrated, rolling her eyes in response. I apologized if I had been speaking too quickly, but my apology did not seem to be acknowledged.
I was accustomed to being informed about my available $5.00 reward before my total was displayed (Throughout all the Barnes and Nobles I've visited. However, this time the screen had already shown the final total, and she told me the total as well. When I politely mentioned that I believed I had a $5.00 reward available, the cashier explained that she could not verify rewards until the total was provided. I understood this process, but I attempted to clarify that the final total had already been given without the option to apply my reward. Unfortunately, the conversation escalated into a back-and-forth exchange that left me feeling increasingly uncomfortable. At one point, I considered leaving my items and walking out altogether.
As a 26-year-old woman, I found it disheartening to be spoken to in a way that felt dismissive and condescending. I felt that the situation could have been handled with more patience and accountability. Before leaving the store, I stayed just to observe her interaction with other customers that were in line and notice a vast difference. I considered speaking to a manager but instead found a helpful employee named Eliza. She kindly explained that the cashier's nature can sometimes come across that way, and she reassured me that on the cashier's behalf, she was sorry. Eliza's empathy and willingness to help truly calmed me down, and I appreciated her thoughtful response.
I am normally a very passive person, and it takes a lot for me to address uncomfortable situations. I felt it was important to bring this to your attention to ensure future interactions are more positive for all customers.

Expensive but a good store. We walk thru it a few times a year. I have purchased toys and kids books for my granddaughter many times. Nobody bothers folks in there and it's always busy.

If you love books then this is the place to go. If they don't have a book that you want, they will order it for you.

I love coming to this book store highly professional staff that will go above and beyond to help you, I had a seizure a couple of years ago so I have a hard time finding my way around things like the alphabet, memory and spelling, the assistant manager Teva or I probably am misspelling it, or remembered it wrong because of the memory problems I have. However the assistant manager actually looked up the book for me she was doing one of the duties that kept her at the desk so she called somebody else over to help me look for the book and I was able to find it quickly it was for a book club that was coming up quick. she called the other manager over and they helped me figure out the book I was looking for it turns out that I had the wrong book for the book club and the assistant manager help me find the correct one. I like how they've always been patient with me when I have had a hard time thinking that day. They are very kind and considerate here. The book I was looking for "Annihilation" is such a weird sounding word actually had it written down wrong and them helping me find the correct book was really helpful.
They were both very helpful and really professional, I really love coming to the cafe as well the cafe people are very chill. It's always a relaxing atmosphere and the entire staff is usually kind, courteous, and extremely helpful. I love to come into the store just to relax and listen to whatever relaxing music they have playing mostly things like jazz or just relaxing music, I often do buy various things here, the manga selection is really good, they have a lot of good d&d table top role-playing games for any dungeon party, a very good selection of board games from complex to simple for family game night. I just love the staff here I've been coming here for years so I might as well leave a good review, everybody from the cafe to the booksellers have always been very pleasant and health. I have never been mistreated once at this location and I'm pretty sure I never will.
To the amazing team at Barnes & Noble you guys are great keep up the good work.

I absolutely love spending time here, close and convenient. I just wish there was a larger selection of ancient world authors.
Being a history major, it pains me that there isn't a section just for them. Yes, there are some scattered all over, but not in one area and only one or two of their publications.
I will continue to come see y'all, but please as a lover of the ancient classics get some more and set section please.

Had never been to a Barnes and Noble before, but it was as great as everyone on social media boasts about. The staff openly allowed my incredibly introverted self to struggle on my own which was great and you only get that if your on my level of no peopling 😅 but when I finally caved no telling how long of roaming the store in search of a specific book I guess I formed a look of "ok fine help me" (because i never actually asked) they came out the woodworks to help me in every way and even offered ways I wasn't aware I needed. Things I enjoyed that ultimately have no value to your choice of shopping here or not are the buildings' architecture, neat moody coffee shop inside, and the flow of organization of labeled sections actually made sense.
