Surprise! Paid parking!
This is incredibly predatory. It feels like something that should be illegal. Y'all need to either make parking for guests complimentary, or just include it in the nightly fees.

I was staying here about once a month several years ago and would've easily given this place 5 stars for most trips, but things changed and I haven't been back in awhile. The place seems to have gone downhill a bit since last time I stayed.
I was pleased to find an EV charger when I arrived, and it wasn't in use, but it's some no-name trash brand that just likes to collect money without doing much for you. I couldn't get the thing to activate and the company's service was worse than useless, so I gave up. The whole time I'm trying to get it to activate, there's an annoying security camera that's constantly turning and shining flashing lights on me and sounding an alarm. I get having security, but like, it had no chill.
Speaking of no chill, I couldn't get cool in my room. Marriott is the worst when it comes to the obnoxious thermostats that are programmed to shut off in a few hours and lie about the temperature. I woke up at like 4-5am each morning because it was hot in the room. It's South Louisiana. Come on.
Otherwise, the rooms are still decent and I still like the purple and gold Louisiana coastline artwork above the beds. The beds are comfortable and I like the wood finishings and hard floors instead of the usual gross carpet. I'm also a fan of the ambient lighting. They took the glass shower doors out and put in bathtubs though, apparently, which i didn't enjoy as much.
This place just didn't have the value this time when I stayed. I'll probably think twice about paying a premium for this place next time.

We just hosted a conference at the Baton Rouge Marriott and could not be happier with the service and location. Michelle, Steven, Darris, and Dedrick met all of our expectations and went above and beyond to help our event run smoothly. The food was great, every Marriott employee was professional and courteous, and the facilities were kept clean throughout the event. We will definitely be using the Baton Rouge Marriott again!

I loved the clean room, the fancy shower heads in the bathroom, the lively lobby. The excellent breakfast, with a good view of the LSU game. And, it's right next door to Hooters...

Front desk was able to help me get a room on a Friday night during a home coming game. We were in town for work and had drove over 12 hours. It was a true blessing she helped us.

The one person I talked to was nice. The room however there were a few things. The lamp on the night stand does not work, the outlets are loose so my cable is cutting in and out, the conditioner in the shower was out, the lotion had a dime size amount in it so must have been used. Pretty disappointed.

I came to just spend the night since I was in a road trip
Worst marriot hotel
Leaking inside the room because the rain outside, AC smells burn.
Bathroom super dirty
Disaster.

Welcome to college Drive Baton Rouge
Paid third party parking, no active security, left on your own.
Do not park near trees in parking lot, they block cameras. Remove all personal belongings, fortunately nothing was inside.
Both rear passenger windows busted out and damages to doors.

Why on earth do none of the outlets in this hotel work? I stay here regularly, and there are rarely functional outlets near the bed. Often there is only one set of outlets in the entire room that functions. I've reported it, but they never seem to bother to fix them.
