Don't do no online purchase with false advertisements they really need a zero star. Then they still have the nerves to say that they've it and they really don't fix our stuff online at the Siegn Lane in Baton Rouge, La location. Fix our problem ASAP

If I could give 0 stars I would. The store is in complete disaray, like disgustingly so. The three workers were standing in the front of the store having a whole conversation for the entire time I was in there, IN A CIRCLE talking about everything under the sun. Boxes, i mean pallets were stacking in the aisles. Merchandise strown about. The sickest part, was people were comfortable shopping. Like how.
Corporate needs to get a handle on this location ASAP.

Complete and total waste of time had multiple registers that could be opened. But they refused to allow self checkout any longer

It’s like a maze in there and it’s barely wide enough for the cart to fit anywhere. I went for a specific book and I couldn’t even get to the books so 4 hours and 39 minutes on the bus wasted.

They select their own scores at self checkout, also completely out of any type of screen protector. Overall not a good experience, had to go to target

I dont nornally leave reviews like this, but whoever is making the decisions here needs to rethink some of these changes. The self checkout system is something you see everywhere nowadays, so its only natural when a customers sees a self checkout, they're gonna try and check themselves out. What NO ONE expects is to walk up to the self checkout counter and be yelled at from across the store that we cannot check ourselves out at the SELF CHECKOUT. I get it, I manage a store myself, theives are a hugeee pain, but this is not the way to do this. If you want to have employees scan every customers items instead of having self checkouts, that is 100% fine, but get rid of the self checkout machines!! You have a damn counter with registers that employees can check people out at. NO ONE wants employees breathing down their neck while they forcibly check them out at self checkout. I can only imagine how uncomfortable the employees feel after being forced to do this, its really no wonder why they always have hiring signs up.
And putting that asside, if you're trying to deter theft, why are you instead putting employees in a situation where they will potentially be put in danger? If someones willing to steal, thats only a few steps away from actually hurting someone to get what they want! Theres a reason stores put employees behind a counter, to put a physical barrier between them and a would-be attacker. Its just unsafe for everyone at this point!
And just to add the cherry on top, the fact that they still ask for a rating at the end of the checkout with the employee standing directly next to you is not how to get accurate ratings. Literally when the screen asked me "was the store clean" the lady checking me out said "yes" in a demanding voice to get me to choose the answer she wanted. I only selected yes to avoid the awkward drama from actually being honest. The store is an absolute mess any time you go in now! I get they have a lot of new things coming in, Ive actually been really excited to see all the new things, but your customers cant even walk to the opposite side of the store without having to navigate their way through a maze of unopened boxes and products! Employees shouldn't be pressuring customers to lie on these reviews to make them look better than they actually are.
Ive really enjoyed five belows stores for years now, but I dont know how much longer I can keep going because everytime I try and check out I get yelled from across the store the moment I walk up to the check out. Thats just outright uncomfortable and inappropriate for any shopping experience. Who ever is making these ridiculous changes needs to sit down and really rethink some things, because if this is really the future of five below, they arent gonna last much longer.

Just left this location and wouldn’t recommend due to the service. We went up to the new checkouts (that look like self checkouts) and tried to go to an open one. There was a man blocking one of them, which apparently was an employee. He had AirPods in and looked quite unhappy to be there, didn’t appear to be wearing five below merch at first glance, so that’s why we went to another one. He then asked us if we could read and rudely motioned to the register he was blocking. He said that there were signs everywhere and aggressively scanned our items and threw them into a bag. While trying to pay, he tried to shove the bag at my partner but he was busy with the pin pad so the employee shoved the bag at me and kept mumbling to himself. Then my partner was answering the questions on the screen and the employee shoved in front of him and aggressively punched in the answers instead. Never had this happen at a five below as all the employees have always been very welcoming.

Went in the store today and my favorite worker wasn't there to make me smile. I got told she didn't work there anymore and I don't think I'll be going back to that store if she's gone. Everybody else feels rude and like they don't care about the customers. As a retail manager for 5 years, ive learned if you don't keep the good employees you'll never keep good customers. Disappointed 5 Below.

Figured I would give my 1 star review here since the cashier at "self checkout" selected 9 on my behalf for my experience. Unfortunately 1 is the lowest I can go so I'll take it.
Went today thinking an item was in stock per online, which it wasn't. That's fine because it's usually hit or miss when you check store availability, but because it looked like I walked into a dollar general, it's possible it was in stock but not stocked. Boxes and carts everywhere. Items are in complete chaos. As soon as you walk past the door, it's a nightmare. There is no room to walk throughout. The layout needs to be modified to be more open. Felt like a maze. Don't drink before you go as there is no restroom for the public in a corporate store where the public shops. I will say they are looking to hire per their loose leaf paper sign with orange highlighter on the door. Which I can guarantee they need help as the cashier today was from the store in Zachary. Just don't waste your time. Go to Gonzales or outside of Baton Rouge. Seigen Lane is a joke.

This place is a mess. Just stuff everywhere. Line was long because they stopped self checkout but didn't hire more cashiers. Lots of the $5 items are worth less than $5. A few good deals but not many, since it's all very cheaply made. But I guess that's to be expected.

Really don’t know if I’ll be back . I’d rather drive and extra 15-30 minutes vs going here . I went to self checkout to check my items out and the worker on 3-09-2024 didn’t want to let me scan any of my items , was literally on top of me while I’m trying to check out . I asked for personal space and that I’m entitled to it and she goes and states they no longer have self check out and this is how it is now . I told her that’s fine if she wants to scan my items let’s go to the register and do that , or let me checkout my own items at SELF CHECKOUT! There is nothing wrong with her standing onside of me a few feet while watching me ring up , but she was literally on top of me treating me as if I were a thief .

Lots of merchandise sitting in boxes in store. Staff was friendly at checkout. Store was chaos and cluttered
