Was visiting town and had a few hours before my flight home so I stopped by Harper's. Great guys and a good selection of brands that you don't see everywhere. Very relaxed atmosphere and good conversation. Bought a Turtleson vest and a pair of Hiltl jeans. Saw a pair of Lucchese boots I liked but they needed to be special ordered (Sam offered to have them shipped to me but I'm more of an impulse buyer). Always great to find a store that carries hard-to-find items.

This place is incredible. I came here to try on a pair of Alden Indy 405s since this store is the only place that carries Aldens in Baton Rouge. After I arrived, I was awestruck. This is a true haberdashery. They custom make clothes but also have an exceptional collection of accessories (belts, cufflinks, etc) that are just better than what you see at the usual men's clothing chains. The owner is named Sam - a Navy vet and a long time haberdasher who really knows his stuff. By the time I left I was 100% positive that I had the best guidance possible in making an important purchase for a really nice pair of boots. I'll absolutely be back.
