My forklift has been broke for months now. I’m not Coca Cola, I work for myself & only have one forklift and really need it. They came out & “diagnosed” why it won’t lift around July 5th. Said it needed a new priority valve. Im fairly mechanically inclined so I replaced the stuff myself which was all super straight forward. They seemed certain it was the priority valve so I ordered that, which was over $500 for the part plus the $813 they charged to diagnose. Replaced the part, still won’t lift. I called to tell them it still isn’t working & they said if it wasn’t that all they could see it being is the lift/lock solenoid. $450 later, ordered that and it still doesn’t work.$2k later and still don’t have a working forklift. Anyone who actually knows how to diagnose a forklift without throwing thousands of dollars at it let me know.

I had M & L in Baton Rouge repair the internal lift forks on a L3710 GST ( 3 point hitch) owned by a friend and the cast iron plate below the seat which had to be removed to access the internals was apparently replaced using an impact driver to tighten the fasteners rather than a torque wrench. As a result of this the plate later fractured spraying hot hydraulic fluid all over the operator and rendering the tractor useless. Upon removal of the plate I found the fasteners to be torqued in the range of 25 lb-ft to 130 lb-ft which, I believe, is indicative of shoddy work and led directly to the failure of the plate. Large cast iron plates must be torqued in a proper sequence and incrementally to the recommended torque. Of course M & L says "It;s not their fault" and will do nothing to help remedy the situation. The owner of the tractor is having to pay over $1000 for a new plate, but M & L is not going to install it. I would not trust these folks for any except the simplest of maintenance or repairs. They DO NOT stand behind their work.

Knowledgable staff. They'll take the time to research the part you need if they don't happen to have it in stock. Good stuff! Thanks for the help.
