“I had been searching for a power recliner for my father all day for something in stock. My father is in a wheelchair and I needed something fast for him. We contacted Lopez Furniture and asked what they had in stock. They sent a few pictures. I was literally 5 min away and stopped in. The ones they had was manual. I needed a power reclining chair. They searched and looked around and found a power recliner but it had a lift option. When I tell you they took care of me that day is an understatement. I am thankful for the individuals working there that day and the price they quoted me. Highly recommend this place 100%.”

We LOVED our first one, on a guest bed, so much - it was the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. A friend, who had slept on the bed as our guest agreed it was the only mattress that didn’t cause her to wake up with a backache. When we decided to keep our additional antique bed as our primary bed, we had Mr. Billy make us another custom mattress. It is truly amazing. I highly recommend this company. Mr. Billy personally came out to measure our antique bed and made it meticulously to our specifications. Do not let the facade fool you. “In 2017 I was on the hunt for a new mattress. I wanted something that would really support my whole back, and by support I mean physical contact. The difficulty was that no matter what mattress I tried - name brand store mattresses, squishy online mattresses, etc - the lumbar curve of my spine was never in contact with the mattress. And just folding up an extra blanket didn't work because inevitably I'd toss and turn enough to dislodge it. I decided a custom mattress was in order. Where could I get such a thing though, especially on my limited budget? After some online hunting, I stumbled across Istrouma Mattress Factory. Istrouma is a small, locally-owned mattress maker in Baton Rouge, and on the phone they confirmed that they could make custom mattresses. They seem to primarily do innerspring mattresses, I think they had some foam or latex too, and also do things like custom furniture cushions. The neighborhood seems a bit rundown, and if you were just driving by their store it might not look the most appealing, but don't let looks deceive you. Anyway, I went to the store and and explained my lumbar support idea. I picked out an innerspring mattress and they quickly dragged out some foam and had me lie down so they could take measurements. A couple weeks later my intentionally-lumpy mattress was ready. Yes, it's a strange-looking mattress, and it definitely wouldn't suit most people, but it's exactly what I ordered and does exactly what I wanted. And on top of that it was actually a budget-friendly price, despite being a custom order. Mind you, I did pick it up rather than have it delivered, but still, very affordable. I'm happy to have found this gem of a business and will be a repeat customer!”

“I usually don't do reviews but I'm so mad right now. I was so excited to get this bed so I paid over 1,000 for it and it didn't come with tools or the instructions that I needed the delivery guy lied and told me that they were in the storage of the bed but it wasn't. So I called the store to see what the hell was going on and she told me to call the delivery people.They said they have to put it together to get the instructions. So why you lied and said it was in the storage bin. So now they want me to pay 100 for set up that should be free because they lied to me . I'm never shopping here again ????. Update I'm going to give it 4 stars because the manager came out of his way to put it together and make it right ????.”
