“I was looking for some local flavor and this place was recommended. I had the Ribeye poboy and it was absolutely delicious! Comes with French fries which were perfectly cooked and seasoned.
Sad I cant fly home with some of their

“I visit this store for a sandwich now and then. Sometimes I pick up a hambone. The sandwiches are great. Carefully prepared when you order. Carefully assembled by a friendly person right before your eyes. The employees are among the nicest. The manager, who has been there a while, is friendly, helpful and seems genuinely glad to see you. They sell hams, turkey, p frozen entrées, sides, spice mixes, desserts and more. Interesting, friendly and very tasty!”

“You can find almost everything that you might need for an authentic middle eastern cuisine at this store. Hands down they have the best flat bread in the whole state! It's been a while since we switched from coke products to Vemtu soft drink and they always have it! They have a very clean butcher shop in the store and also get orders if you need a specific cut. But most importantly the staff is very nice, helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend this grocery store!”
“The butcher counter here is epic and well-stocked, with knowledgeable staff and friendly service. If you don’t see what you want they got it in the back. Really good coffee, convenient hours, gumbo in the afternoon. I go once a week to get great cuts of real soul food ingredients - today I got incredibly flavorful beef “bones” for my roasted bone broth. And they offer package specials like 100lbs of various types of meat for $169 and a “Monday Night Game Grilling Special”. Avoid exorbitant high prices for supermarket-grade cuts at “boutique butchers” by visiting Ancona’s 100%!”

“What a lovely find in Baton Rouge! I was looking for a place to pick up lunch, the muffuletta was delicious! Quaint little deli carved into this family style grocery store. I could have spent hours in this little gem. Make sure you pick up some of the olive salad, labeled with the Calandro's name. The best around.”
