The buying experience was great. Karin took care of everything that I asked for. Hopefully their service department is just as good.

Do not shop here under any circumstance. I was empyed by the dealership for several months, and in that time frame I was bullied by my fellow sales people. I had two on particular that were a massive problem. One named Eddie was doing background check on me trying to find out my sales performance at other dealerships posing as a manager ro get this information. He only grew more frustrated once he he could not find anything negative about me. That is when he dived deep onto my personal life to get try and get something on me. When he got what he persiveved as something negative he started to spread it amongst the sales people. The second sales person Sonja did everything she could to steal deals from me including lying to customers saying I wasn't in the building when I clearly was. She also would take it upon herself to introduce herself to customers of mine for a split second so she could have half of my sales commission. I was treated very unfairly even though I was given a rising star award by one of the sales managers Caleb for making three sales in one day as well as making a round trip to lake Charles ro hand deliver a temp tag to a customer because the receptionist failed to mail it out on time. I also received a Louisiana Workforce termination letter stating I was let go because I didn't perform my job well even though I was given an award stating otherwise. I talked to the General Manager Chris Brown after being let go but I feel like that talk fell on deaf ears because nothing came of it. I have not had a problem finding employment in 20 years but after leaving richards Honda in August I've not been able to qualify for employment at any place of business even where I am over qualified. I feel as though their submission to Louisiana Workforce is the direct cause and is preventing me from providing for family. If you want to support bigotry please by all means spend your money here, but if you have a decent heart after reading this I trust that you won't.

I have had bad experiences with vehicle purchase in the past. Eric at Richards Honda was patient and made the process smooth. He was able to ensure I received the model and trim that I wanted without feeling pressured. Eric took the time to show me how to use some of the new features, he even came in on his day off and stayed late. He made sure I got the vehicle and deal that I was looking for. Will definitely go to Eric at Richards Honda again for any future Honda purchases!

I never go to dealerships but at newer to BR so thought I would give it a try. I made a 10am appointment to wait on an oil change, tire rotation and their inspection. Upon arrival I pulled up to the door and went inside. I wasn't really greeted by anyone so I walked up to a desk and told them about my appointment. The gentleman took my keys and asked if I was waiting. I said yes and he pointed me to the waiting room. At no point did he indicate wait time. There was a younger rep who was walking around checking on his clients. After an hour and a half with no updates, I asked him if he could check on my vehicle since I had been there an hour and a half and hadn't heard any updates. He was super friendly and checked for me. He said my inspection was being completed and my service advisor (SA) who I won't name would be with me shortly. My SA approached after several minutes, introduced himself and began walking me through the results. They recommended rear break pads and a break fluid change. I asked how long that would take. He told me and I told him I would have to pass that I didn't plan on being there as long as I had. My SA then explained to me that their inspections are very thorough and take a long time and if I wanted a quick service I should let them know to skip that next time. Had I been given any kind of estimate on time up front, I would have likely left and gotten a speedy oil change elsewhere. Once my service was done, I went to my SA's desk to be checked out. The interaction was kind and speedy. He then got a little uneasy when he had to tell me about the customer satisfaction survey I may get. He explained it would have questions about the cleanliness of the waiting room (which had a couple pieces of trash on the floor) and timeliness. He explained that he didn't have control over the service time but that all of my feedback would reflect directly on him. He insinuated he'd appreciate if I could give him a good review. I probably would have been more amicable to that if he had greeted me initially (instead of an hour and a half into me waiting) or given me any kind of time estimate up front and had not gotten a bit snippy about time in the first place. Tl;dr - don't go here and wait if you're looking for timely service. Opt for their shuttle or drop your vehicle off.

10/10 recommend this place for anyone in the market for a new vehicle. The sales team is great, I highly recommend Mr. Steven Garic. They made the process easy and I was in and out in less than 3 hours. That’s walking in and driving off. Straight to the point while being professional and honest. The finance department also was a very nice lady that led us through all the paperwork and was very thorough on explaining everything. Very great experience overall.

Not sure the point of an appointment if they sell the car as you’re on your way there. Don’t waste a trip. My daughter, a young volunteer spec ed / elementary school teacher, arranged her tight schedule to visit dealership at lunch. After 2 calls confirming the car and time, not only was the car “just sold” but no one was around expecting her very timely arrival. What more do you need to know? The oldest trick in the book in my opinion, a bait and switch to show her “something else”. Well no thanks.

Richards Honda is by far the best dealership in Baton Rouge. I recently was in a financial crisis due to a divorce and my credit wasn’t in the best shape so I spent 2 weeks going to lot after lot and everyone wanted to put me in a 6-10 year old car with 25%-32% interest rate which meant a $12k-$15k car would end up costing me over $35k in the end if the car even makes it that far. Richards Honda was my last hope… when I showed up I was greeted by VIC from New York and he was amazing, wasn’t pushy, didn’t try and talk me into something I couldn’t afford or something that wasn’t worth financing. He took the time to listen to my exact situation and my goals and showed me only what would fit my criteria. After he sold me on a new 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid I told him to try and see if it was even possible not thinking I would ever get approved for something like that in my current situation and if I did the price would be far outside of my budget. Well after a few hours and the expertise of the Manager Ms. Adrienne they not only got me approved but at a rate that was lower than I got on my old car before my divorce issues. I could not be happier and I am so grateful to Vic and Adrienne for not giving up and making my dreams come true. If you need a car please go see Vic and Adrienne at Richards Honda and tell them Mark sent you. I know they will take care of you. Oh last thing.. of the dozen or so cars I’ve bought from a dealer in my life , the second I drove it off the lot that was the end of it. Never have I had car salesman make the deal and make it a point to call and check on me to see if I was still happy with everything, not once, twice but 3 times. Amazing! Customer service may be dead everywhere else in the world but definitely not at Richards Honda.

Richards Honda is a great car buying experience. Everyone is super nice and helpful. My salesman, Avery, is the best!!! Make sure you ask for him. He worked very hard to get me the best deal within 100 miles on my new Accord. After the sale he called just to check on me. We are now friends for life! Love you Avery!!!!

I recently purchased a Honda CRV from Richards Honda, and I would like to share my experience, which unfortunately had some drawbacks. While the overall process went relatively smoothly, there were a few areas that left me dissatisfied and questioning the integrity of the dealership. I must acknowledge that they did have a good inventory of vehicles, unlike some other competing dealerships.Firstly, When I entered the finance office of the dealership, I was introduced to the very limited warranties they were offering and was suggested to purchase additional warranties such as oil change and tire rotation for four years, gap insurance, bumper-to-bumper coverage, etc., all for additional fees accumulated into my loan. I believe it would have been more transparent and fair if they had provided the such payment information upfront, prior to me committing to purchasing the vehicle by signing an agreement on a piece of napkin before I entered the finance room to know my final payment.Secondly, one of the advertised incentives was only one year (maximum of two) of free oil changes. However, I was disappointed to discover that other brands, such as Toyota, offer up to two and a half years (maximum of five) of complimentary oil changes. Consequently, I was offered the option to add four years of oil change and tire rotation for an amount that was only slightly less than the out-of-pocket cost without any warranty. After discussing this with the financial agent and her supervisor, who realized the inconsistency, they confirmed that the complementary oil change was indeed offered for two years, making the additional highly suggested warranty unnecessary. Adding such unnecessary warranties to a 72-month loan seemed impractical. This situation further made me question the value I received with my purchase. Clear and consistent communication regarding incentives is crucial to ensuring customer satisfaction.Furthermore, approximately two weeks after taking possession of my new car, I received an alarming letter from my insurance company stating that my insurance policy had been rejected due to the car not being properly registered in the state. Concerned and confused, I immediately contacted Richards Honda to address this unexpected issue. Unfortunately, my initial call was met with a dismissive attitude from the dealership, as they disregarded the insurance company's notification, claiming it to be baseless. However, after conducting a thorough investigation, they eventually called me back to acknowledge their mistake. It turned out that due to the temporary registration status of my car and the fact that my insurance provider was All-State, this unusual situation had arisen.Furthermore, I would like to highlight a concerning issue that arose after we purchased the vehicle before we left the parking. One of the involved parties suggested that we provide a 5-star review, indicating that it would affect their end-of-year bonus, even if we were only satisfied with their performance and not with other aspects of the dealership. This request raises concerns about the evaluation of an employee's performance based solely on customer satisfaction with a particular department of the dealership. It is unfair to put customers in a position where they feel compelled to give a positive rating to the entire experience when they may be dissatisfied with specific processes while satisfied with other areas. While I understand that mistakes can happen, these issues collectively cast a negative light on my overall experience with Richards Honda. As a customer, I believe it is essential to receive transparent and reliable information throughout the car purchasing process. I hope that my feedback helps highlight areas where the dealership can improve its practices and enhance customer satisfaction in the future.Thank you for providing the opportunity to share my concerns, and I hope that my feedback is taken into consideration for the betterment of future customers' experiences.

I have bought over 20 cars in my life and this experience was the best so far. I bought from out of state and was just amazing. Caleb the sales manager made sure everything was handled smoothly, followed through on everything and was outstanding even calling the next day to ensure everything was good with car. The sales rep Gee was outstanding as well, very knowledgeable and just a pleasure to deal with. Great people, great experience. Thank you Richards Honda!!
