I took my family to dinner tonight and thoroughly hated the experience. As soon as we were seated, we were greeted with dirty glasses. It looked like grass had been in them. So I can only assume they'd been "cleaned" with a dirty rag. From that point I should have known things weren't going to be good. My husband and I had the 15 oz ribeye. We both asked for medium. Mine came out fine, my husband's was well done and dry. My daughter had a cheese pizza but only had one bite. The servers were very nice but the food is definitely not worth the price. We had the full pizza and steak packed to go. We paid and left. As soon as we pulled out of the driveway, I realized we'd left our to go bag. I called and explained to them what happened. They told me they would hold it at the front while we turned around to retrieve it. We got there 5 minutes later. My husband walked in and I stayed in the car. As my husband was inside I received a call from the manager, basically saying the bus boy saw the food and thought we didn't want it, so threw it out. WHICH, I completely understand. I mean we were gone and there's no way to contact us. My problem is with how the "manager" handled the situation. When he stated they threw it away, I asked if they could make a new steak and pizza. Considering those were barely touched. He said no he could not. So I asked if we could have a refund. Again he said no. So I asked how he could fix this and he said unfortunately there is nothing he can do because the bus boy was doing his job. So I paid $200 for nothing. I understand that the meal was left at the table, which was my fault. But for you to just say ," sorry there's nothing I can do about it", is unacceptable. If you're a manager, your job is to manage and problem solve. None of my issues were resolved. This place used to be great, but these last 2 years have been mediocre. I kept giving them chances because i used to love it here so much, but this situation helped me make my decision to never return to Ruffinos on highland ever again.

We have visited this place many times. Unfortunately, we may not again in the future. The waiter we had was phenomenal. He was very helpful. The food. Our appetizer, the pork belly and boudin egg rolls, definitely a YES. From there, down hill and in a hurry. The spaghetti was warm at best. The steaks, ribeyes and filet tasted like it had been marinated in mop water. Extremely disappointed. We brought home the left over steaks. 2 ribeyes and 1 filet. We were not happy, but my wife said do not say anything, we were celebrating our bonus daughter's 18th bday.Just to reassure, the appetizers were very good.

Too many waiters all descending upon you before you have a chance to sit down. Rush seems to be the name of the game. Forgot our appetizer but I think I wound up paying for it anyway. Veal Parmessan was too patties of veal in some sauce. Not bad but not up to my standards for Italian cuisine. But the place was packed so everybody else must have liked it. Steak Oscar, well, it was a nice filet with a few small pieces of asparagus sitting underneath. Nothing fancy at all.

Personally, I love Ruffino's, however a dress code that allows a woman to show a foot of midriff in a cut off t-shirt and shorts (no lie - a foot and no hem on the shirt) but bars my son from wearing a baseball cap is just a tad bit over the top. My son had on a polo and nice jeans. You may want to rethink your policy or I may want to rethink my restaurant choices.

Absolutely incredible. Great food, the service was very good and polite. If you are looking for Italian food this is the place to go. They gave us waters to start off with. Worth the wait. Overall 5 stars. LOVE THIS PLACE .

A very nice restaurant, more for special occasion than for a quick dinner out. Food is very well done with a good variety of selections. The fish was the best I have had ever had served to me.

Amazing experience and had great service. Went for our 2 year Anniversary and our server Peter gave us a complimentary dessert which was really good. We both had steaks and potatoes and both were cooked perfectly and tasted excellent.

Premium food and service in a wonderful atmosphere. Good wine, great food and fantastic service are a hallmark of Ruffino's. I enjoy every trip there, and recommend the heirloom tomato salad if in season, they are amazing. You will be pleased with anything from the grill and the Italian standards are superb.

The duck fingers were the only non seafood option without an upcharge. Delicious and well seasoned. The salad was a little sad with 2 croutons. The filet mignon was juicy, flavorful, and tender. Potatoes popped in your mouth with the crispy outside, soft inside. The cotton candy was a delightful end. The service was prompt and excellent. Our drink server and server where wonderful and lively. With their help the occasion was a success. However next valentines day, if the menu could be advertised as it is limited and some (me included) may have allergies to plan around. It ruined the ease of the beginning readjusting what I could possibly eat.
