Only reason not rating 5 stars is sometimes I feel as if the shop cuts small corners and always takes me explaining the issue multiple times for them to actaully address the issue at hand. Once you get past that they do solid work and get it fixed once they know what you're talking about. The service manager is 11/10 and is very nice!

Today was my husband's 80th birthday. Yesterday he found out that the very nice young man who was to come to our home and fix Charles's lawnmower --- because the blades went catawampus after running over metal in our lawn --- was non-functional and could not do what he'd been promising to do for over a week.
Charles was heartbroken about his lawnmower and his lawn. We have a big, triple lot (.8 acre lawn), and it's hot, hot and the grass is growing quick, quick. For Charles, this is an untenable situation --- something had to be done right away!
He loves his John Deere lawn mower --- easy riding with 42" mulching blades --- that we bought from Sunshine several years ago. Charles enjoys keeping his lawn cut properly and well manicured. This lawn mower makes it possible for him to continue to live the life he enjoys.
We called Sunshine yesterday afternoon. Yes, they had the mower blades in stock, but no they could not send someone out, so he would need to bring it in. Charles trailered the mower and took it to Sunshine. In the interim, I called the folks at Sunshine and told them about his 80th birthday today.
This morning, we got a phone call from Sunshine: Your mower is ready. Happy birthday!
We are truly grateful to all the kind people at Sunshine and, in addition to this Google review, have sent thank-you notes to Laura and Danny. Thank you all!
Charles is all set now to enjoy his birthday --- riding around, mowing his lawn --- which is what he is doing right now.
Sunshine has earned our very highest recommendation --- 5 out of 5.

My mover came to their shop because of smoking. They charged $700 to repaired it and I only using it for two cuts. The smoking issue came up again. I called them again to get it picked up. This time they said it was a bit too full of engine oil caused the smoking and wanted to charge me $320 to fix it. They should get it all checked the first time. Terrible service. Never John deer again. Specially no sunshine location.

If you're in Baton Rouge and need parts for John Deere equipment, this is the only game in town unless you buy online. That's not a bad thing, though, as the employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and highly skilled.

These folks are as professional as they come. I worked with Matthew on a new 54" ZTrak, which I needed customized with switch/wiring for a Deere sprayer which I also bought from Sunshine. He worked with his Service Dept. and put together a really clean solution.Also, I've used their service department for 15 years, and they are super responsive and very proficient.

How are you going to say one thing on the phone but when I come into the store the fat guy with a beard always has another opinion. I called asking if I could return unused seals. They said yes the only thing you can't return is electronics. So now I have wasted my time and money with these people. I recommend finding somewhere else to shop. They are literally brand-new no scratches no marks no nothing. He's just lazy didn't even look

I’m sitting in the parking lot now. A bolt sheered off my bush hog. I brought the bolt in…asked for a replacement. He said he needed a model number. I told him that is the reason I brought the bolt in…could he not just compare? “Nope, need a model number”. You can’t even attempt to match this bolt? There can’t be that many at a John Deere place. “Nope, need a model number.”PLEASE…find another place to do business…they are not very helpful.

Great customer service... Treat me with professionalism and respect... I love a business that listens and take action... Not everyone make you feel good about spending money... My daughter recently purchased a mower from Sunshine to cut our fairly large property. This mower is easy to use and has one of the best cuts I have ever seen. The staff at Sunshine in Baton Rouge were very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them and refer my friends to them.
