I had been looking for apartments in Baton Rouge for a few months when I came across The Addison and was very surprised at how nice the online pictures and amenities looked. As I am currently living in KY and moving to BR in July for school, I was solely trusting on the online reviews, pictures & conversations with the apartment staff as to how the apartment would be and I was NOT DISAPPOINTED!
When getting my keys & paperwork this past weekend, Justine Williams was SO KIND & HELPFUL through the process and answered all of my questions regarding move-in, amenities, Etc.
After completing my move-in walkthrough, I met again with Justine and we discussed any immediate needs/maintenance issues in the apartment in which she said these would be taken care of.
Besides a needing a good deep scrubbing and a few floor scratches and paint drops, the apartment is exactly as it appears online and I am looking forward to getting fully moved in in July!
On-site dog park is a huge plus as well for my Golden Retriever!!

Had to redo this negative review after calming down. So Jan I go into the front office to see when my lease was up because I had just taken a new job. Was told I had to pay till March so I thought she was saying I had to pay the month of March. I put March 31st as my move out date. Fast forward I haven’t been living here this whole time and paying my rent. Pay March but I come back to finish cleaning everything out. Notice of eviction on my door. I was like what’s this pull up my account full month rent taken out. Walk down to talk to them about it was told I put in my 60 day notice late and had to go on a month to month basis which had a huge up charge. Why wouldn’t they say that two months ago? A big difference in saying you have to pay for March and you have to pay March plus $500. When we figure out that I thought she said I had to pay for March she says well I thought you had a reason to want to have your move out date later. She said I asked you know that means you have to pay March and I remember her saying that but she had already told me I was going to have to pay March so I didn’t know why she was repeating it but I said unless I can put the move out date sooner and not pay for March and she say, no you have to pay for March. In reality I had to pay for March 1st and 2nd but didn’t say oh it’s just till the 2nd but I saw you put till the 31st we would have to charge you month to month for those extra days. So the other manger telling me about this additional charge says well you can pay it or we take it out of your deposit and anything your deposit doesn’t cover I will put into collections. At first I was thinking she was just threatening me to be a complete jerk because a months rent for a deposit of course it’s going to cover it. Then later my mind goes back to signing the lease and remember them saying not all of the charges are a part of the deposit and it just so happens to come up to the first months rent like full deposit would. Now I realize just how shady they are, they want more than to keep my deposit lol. No notice that my renewal coming up with exact dates so it couldn’t be misunderstood. So renters beware, I have rented a lot of apartments because I move around for work. I have never experienced anything close to this nonsense. I will warn everyone that I find is coming to the area that there is a reason for the low reviews and saying the management changes is just a way to try and deflect from those poor reviews. Never late in a year of living here and was threatened with eviction and collections from a misunderstanding of when I needed to be out by.

They need to hire more efficient people at the front desk. They never answer the phone!

I set up an appointment to tour some of the apartments they had for a 1:15 appointment. I showed up a few minutes early, and there was only one person in the whole leasing office. I explained why I was there, and they said I had to take myself on a tour, without them, as they were the only person there. Who staffs only one person for when you know people are coming to look at apartments? When I came to the apartment that they were *showing*, the front door wasn't even locked at all. When looking through the rooms for that specific apartment, I saw dead bugs all over the floor. If this is how they keep their showroom, I can't imagine how they keep the other apartments clean. I went back, gave them the keys to the apartment, and they immediately went into the spiel of paying for the apartment. No formalities, it was just them trying to get me to sign. When I asked to see the specific apartment I had asked about online, they said "it's still under construction". ??? If you're advertising something for rent, have it fully done and ready to move in with. $1500 a month isn't worth any of this.

very convenient location! right behind the mall & right off the interstate. i loved my first floor location. i loved the floor plan! i loved how there are two gyms. they aren't modernized at all tho. very old, basic equipment. but it got the job done. i absolutely despised the mail room. for my entire lease (october 2022-2023) there weren't ANY WORKING security cameras. 6 of my packages were either stolen or marked as delivered but not really delivered ever or... idk. i never received 6 of my packages that were said to be delivered in the unsupervised mailroom. i told justine williams & she just shrugged. told me there was nothing she could do about it, to call the people i purchased the package from. in february 2023 she told me they were renovating & installing cameras soon. october 10th, 2023 there were still no security cameras in the unlocked, unsupervised mailroom. in my photos, you will see a lot of opened packages or empty envelopes. i gave a 60 day move out notice & the next day my apartment was 87 fahrenheit. i told maintenance & they said "well your vents are blowing 68" & left. next day it was still extremely hot so i made another request... that time they brought me a window unit. i had the window unit for 58 days. moved out with the unit still in the window. what a luxurious apartment. then i left the cox equipment in the apartment bc that’s what i assume i do with it. 17 days AFTER i move from the apartment, cox told me i need to return the equipment or there will be a $125 fee. i told that to the apartment complex & they basically said that’s not their problem. i got it situated with cox today.

They set up a virtual tour appointment but did not honor it. They then asked me to reschedule after which I heard nothing. Very unprofessional. They are losing many prospective tenants this way.

I’ve sent probably ten emails and spoken to two women multiple times on the phone over the past week. Was continuously apologized to and promised that my tour would had the next day. This has gone on for four days so no longer interested in living here. Can’t imagine how actual tenants are treated. Avoid this place it’s a waste of time.

Terrible Customer Service. I called to inquire about a two bedroom apartment. They answered the phone "Hello". I said I was looking for pricing and availability on a 2 bedroom. He didn't speak for a minute and then said is this a good contact number. I told him yes and he said he would have to call back because his system is rebooting. I said ok and he didn't even ask my name and hung up. So unprofessional.

This place is a scam!!! False advertisement! Bait and switch 1000%!!! Nasty, full of roaches!!! It's long, but read it and save yourself!Website is pretty, they will also tour you in a nice unit in the Addison not The High Grove and not show you yours until after you sign a lease! Beware!I have lived here 9 weeks and they released me from my lease because for the roach infestation in this entire complex!!! They have no argument there! I have had 4-5 roaches alive and dead daily in my unit after 5 weeks in a row of "extensive" pest control!!!I woke up to a roach crawling on me at 1am!Pest control has given up and said there is nothing else they can do!!! So they just give up? Sounds like they need a new pest control companyThe buildings are not maintained at all, filthy filthy trash rooms, hallways, lobbies, elevators, common areas!Dog urine in the elevator multiple times a day and doesn't get mopped. Dead roach across the hall from me since 1/25/23 it's 4/11/23!Trash rooms partially cleaned then maintenance washing stairwells instead of finishing cleaning the trash rooms to get rid of the roach issues!!This is the nastiest place I have ever lived! This complex will suffer greatly until they get a company in here and get this place clean, but the company won't do that!Upper management are cowards and won't even respond to emails, instead they have on site staff relay their messages to me! I asked for moving assistance or a refund of this month since I am moving 9 weeks after moving in. All denied!!! I have spoken to multiple tenants who all want to leave ASAP!!! I hope the higher ups who won't reach out to me wake up covered in roaches in their beds in their homes!!!I do want to speak about the on site Property Manager, Jana. She is great. She came in recently to a big mess, and she has a giant task in front of her. She is trying, but the company won't give her what she needs to get the job done clearly! Westminster doesn't deserve an employee like her!

I have expressed my concerns about the safety and health concerns in regard to the community as a whole. Additionally, I have had to ask for a mailbox key 3 times and still do not have one after MONTHS of living here. I have had 3 packages stolen and management, most of the time, is impossible to reach. Me and 2 “future residents” waited for about 30 minutes, just for no staff to enter the leasing office as if they were closed. THE LEASE CLEARLY STATES IF SAFETY/HEALTH CONCERNS ARE NOT FIXED IN 7 DAYS, WE ARE ALLOWED OUT OF OUR LEASE WITH NO PENALTIES. When I brought this to the managers attention, she explained that she had proof she STARTED the process to fix everything within that time. It is not our (the residents’) issue that it was not fixed in a timely matter. The only time I have ever seen them deep cleaning the property was the day the companies VP came into town. It seems legal action may be the only way to get out of this. You would think a company that has already lost millions in lawsuits would learn they will lose more money in court than letting me out of my lease.
