I had a very disappointing experience with this business while trying to plan an event. I initially scheduled my event for June 16, but prior to paying my deposit, I confirmed with Sydney that we were moving the date to June 22. She agreed, and I asked her to include a contract with the invoice that outlined the event details and the space’s rules and regulations. She said she would, but I never received any contract—even after I paid the invoice.
Today, I received an unexpected and aggressive phone call from Sydney, where she asked if I was still hosting my event. I told her I needed to reschedule, and she responded in a very hostile tone, accusing me of waiting until the last minute. I was confused, as I believed everything was set for June 22. She checked her system and confirmed that the date was indeed the 22nd.
When I asked why I was being confronted so aggressively, especially since this was the first time I’d heard from her since May 20th, she claimed she had been trying to reach me but hadn’t received a response which is not true. Regardless, the tone and manner of the call were completely unprofessional. I told her to just cancel everything, and she continued yelling and said she didn’t want me in her space before abruptly hanging up.
This was extremely disappointing, especially since I had been looking forward to booking this venue for years. I was genuinely excited about hosting my event here. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would caution others to think twice before doing business with this venue.

The Guru is a wonderful place to have an event. All needs were meet to accommodate our group. Clean, multiple bathrooms, easy WiFi connections, ample parking.. Will definitely use this place again.

What an amazing venue! We just held a meeting there and it worked perfectly. It was a beautiful, welcoming space. We had plenty of room for the tables and space for food and dessert tables. I wpuld highly recommend!

Kay was very nice and accommodating in showing me this event space that I was interested in renting. However, I don't share the same sentiment when it comes to the owner, Sidney. Her communications skills were subpar, and when she finally responded, I let her know that I wanted to put down a deposit, but she never responded. I believe you shouldn't have to chase ppl for their business. Luckily, I found another space, and their accommodations were exceptional.
