I’m a former employee of The Royal Standard’s corporate team, where I worked as a product photographer and graphic designer until October 2022. I left on good terms, but this review is based on a recent shopping experience.
On Saturday, September 21, 2024, around 10 a.m., I visited the TRS Perkins location looking for a dress or accessories for the LSU vs. UCLA game. Despite being the only customer, the manager and at least three employees ignored me the entire time I was there. I left feeling disappointed and ended up shopping at Bella Bella and Sweet Baton Rouge, where I received much better service.
TRS has unique, high-quality products, but if you’re looking for more professional service, I’d recommend trying the Highland location instead.

I would absolutely recommend your BR shop, but this morning was my 1st stop on Black Friday and the cashier, LRT, had such a negative nasty attitude. She was very short in her responses and looked to be annoyed with me checking out. She made me feel very inadequate as if I didn't belong in there... Sorry, I didn't fit your stores profile... I hope that she has had a better disposition with others. Happy Holidays! ?

I went into the Royal Standard to buy a wedding gift. The workers there were extremely friendly and helped me find exactly what I wanted. They gift wrapped the gift. They have a wide variety of gifts as well as clothes. I love this place!
