This was such a fun + unique experience! The decor is beautiful and the clues are such a fun addition. The staff were great and into it as well. We didn't eat any food but drinks were good. It is definitely a group experience; I cant see just going as a couple & having as much fun IF you're going for the full experience. Some ppl were there just to have a drink & of course that works too. Overall, it was a great time!

This is the coolest speakeasy I have ever seen! Green Cup Lady gave me my first clue...very clever! The cocktails are creative and delicious. My favorite so far is the Violet Tide- served in a super cool antique glass coffee cup!

Visited The Tunnel on a Friday night . I was really looking forward to it because it’s always booked for reservations , so I wanted to see what the hype was about .I loved the initial mystery of it , and really liked the secret entrance . Upon entrance I was expecting some sort of direction to begin the scavenger hunt for clues , but we didn’t receive any of that . It was slightly crowded , we had to wait for someone to get up so we could sit , and there was also a line for drinks .I had a Paper Plane , and my husband had an Old Fashioned . My drink was really good , he enjoyed his , but mentioned it was pre-made . We didn’t get anything to eat , the small plates we saw didn’t really peak our interest. Overall …. It’s a good experience and ambience, a different vibe for Baton Rouge . I’d recommend you try it out for yourself .

Our visit with The Tunnel was cool. I was very excited and hopeful about something new and fun to do in the BR area. Unfortunately, when I left I thought just that. This was cool, but it did not leave me feeling like I would want to return. A few things I did love was the initial task of finding the lady with the green glass for your next clue. The whole idea of a speak easy was very exciting. Find the bookshelf, get the code to get in, very fun and interactive. Once we got down the staircase, the blonde hostess greeted us with a chip on her shoulder. She informed us there were clues that unlock secret shots at the bar, but did not hesitate to add in there, “if your friends haven’t already told you all of them.” I can understand how you take the time to come up with cute riddles and then people ruin the fun by telling their friends. I would suggest letting guests know, “please keep the clues and drink names a secret so everyone can enjoy the fun.” But assuming people already know and are ruining the fun is a little accusatory. The first ten minutes or so it was just me and my husband and maybe 4 other people. We walked around and looked for clues, found 2 out of 6, but once the room started packing in, it became much more difficult to look around for clues that were not obvious. Maybe if there are easier clues, some hints in that location as to where you could find a harder clue would be helpful when you’re trying to work around so many people. The tunnel portion of the experience gets 4 stars. It was very fun. It would have gotten 5 stars, but it’s so dark in there you may as well walk around blindfolded. The activities in the hall are spoiled by the fact that I need my cell phone flash light to be able to see even the easiest things. Next, I know we went on the Thursday evening during football season, but we know when we scheduled our visit. If we wanted 2023 football, we would have scheduled to visit a different day. Not to mention they couldn’t get the internet to connect. So the large tv in the main room said “unable to connect” on the screen the entire visit. So every single picture we tried to take, we had to adjust ourselves so the tv screen wasn’t in our shots as it would ruin the whole feel. It messed up the immersive vibe we thought we were going into. Next the drinks/bar. The listed cocktails that we tried were amazing. The two secret shots we figured out were also very tasty. However, the history book about Huey mentions and highlights many times that one of Huey’s favorite drinks was a gin fizz. So my second trip to the bar was for a gin fizz. The bartender was visibly annoyed by that request. Kind of a buzz kill. The pick 3 appetizer for $35 seems like a pretty good deal. The mushroom sandwich was excellent. The devils on horseback were cold and hard. Three apps at over $10 a piece for cold devils on horseback and FOUR cocktail shrimp. That’s almost $3 per cold shrimp. The saying goes quality over quantity, but we didn’t get quality or quantity. Such a disappointment. Lastly, it was a bit of a shock when at the end of the night we had gotten a total of 6 cocktails, two $5 shots, and one disappointing appetizer tray. Our bill was over $220. That comes to somewhere around $25 per small cocktail which was not listed on the menu if I’m not mistaken. Overall, I had high hopes and left feeling a little bummed. For the lack of immersion, somewhat rude staff, and below par quality in more places than one, $220 was not worth our experience. Unless there are some changes, I don’t think we will be returning visitors. Also, I wanted to add that my husband and myself were the only people there dressed up. It made the experience lackluster. Definitely didn’t feel like we went back in time to the 1920’s. More like, we went to a costume party where we were the only ones who got the memo to dress up.

I wish I could rate the 'Tunnel' a five because the concept and addition to the hotel are absolutely amazing. Our initial experience pre Tunnel was exciting and kept my husband and I fully engaged with high anticipation, on edge awaiting the next clue. Once we solved the initial clues, we gained access to the tunnel. we both were given a key, to which we wore around our necks for our remaining time. Receiving no additional directions, we entered the beautifully created space. We were the first to arrive, so we dialogued, waiting for the next steps, which we never received. We wondered around while other guest started to arrive, and we noticed they were left with no what's next as well. An amazing job has been done on the space, the atmosphere is warm, comfy, and great for small, intimate moments, 5 stars for certain. The concept is amazing. However, it needs to be carried throughout for each guest to receive the full experience. Four beverages - $200, no appetizers - this may not have been a part of our narrative had the staff been friendly and engaged, and concept carried throughout. Customer service 1 star and concept fizzled out 2, takes the rating to a 3 star.

The Tunnel is a nice, cozy lounge area. The atmosphere is quite relaxing. The drinks served are made to perfection, and the charcuterie boards are a great addition.I would only add... utensils. We were told these were Finger foods, and they didn't have any. I use a fork for nearly everything.

Really good concept and something I'd like to see more of, but just a really poor execution. Felt more like a slapped together escape room rather than an exclusive bar experience. Drinks were horribly overpriced to be premixed, plus you don't get an itemized receipt and the drink prices aren't on the menu. We ended up tipping on top of the automatic gratuity because it wasn't clear. Maybe try in 6 months when it's had some time to figure itself out?

The Tunnel is such a unique Baton Rouge experience! The Hilton truly has done such a fabulous job of incorporating the unique history that surrounds the hotel to provide a one-of-a-kind experience. My friends and I had a fabulous night out when we went to The Tunnel. The drinks were absolutely outstanding, and there were so many fun puzzles to solve with clues scattered throughout The Tunnel.I would highly recommend The Tunnel to anyone looking to enjoy a classy, upscale experience with some unique quirks!

Absolutely LOVE The Tunnel! Huey P. Long would be proud of what the Hilton Downtown Capitol Center has done to preserve the legacy of this historical establishment. I feel like I was transported into the 1920s! The Golden Gatsby drink is to die for! RESERVE YOUR NIGHT AT THE TUNNEL BR NOW!!!!

This place is way overhyped and too pricey! We had reservations for two but ended up with no seats or place to put our food, which was strange. The prices were way too high, especially the 21% auto gratuity they slapped on for a party of two. To top it off, they gave us a bill of $92 with no details, making us ask for a breakdown. We had no clue the gratuity was already included, after we already tipped. They never mentioned this high gratuity in their booking or ads. We got two drinks and a small charcuterie board, but they were a letdown for the cost. Later found out the drinks were $18 (no prices were on the drink menu) & you pick 3 small bites for $35, be sure to add the unmentioned 21% gratuity and taxes. It's disappointing when you expect better value for your money. On top of that, the bathroom being upstairs was inconvenient. This place isn't exciting at all.Save your time and find a better spot for drinks & small bites. Look out for fake reviews from the bartenders and staff.

The best smoked Old Fashion in town! I could sit in the Tunnel for hours and be content with the ambience alone. We are looking forward to coming back again soon!
