I had previously used Chabill's for years for tires and other small repairs. Took my vehicle in to Chabill's on Burbank with a vibration while braking and a popping noise when I was turning. Chabill's came back to me with an estimate of $4,300.00 with repairs that included: front struts, rear shocks, sway bar, tire rods, all four brakes with new pads and rotors, and an alignment. Needless to say, I decided to get a second opinion. I took my vehicle to Tri-Care Automotive on Airline Highway. They came back with an estimate of $1,300.00 that included new brakes and rotors on only the front brakes (just the brake work being around $700). Also got a new battery and several belts replaced that were going out. I asked the folks at Tri-care about the litany of other repairs that were noted by Chabill's and they told me that none of that stuff (shocks, struts, etc.) was broken and needed to be replaced. As a result, Tri-Care has gained a new customer and Chabill's has lost a customer. Will be using Tri-Care for any repairs I have going forward. They were professional, did quality work, and above all else were honest with me which goes a long way.

Dishonest company. I was quoted 1100 for an ignition coil replacement and spark plugs. Coil replacement is a fast easy job. The spark plugs, which they were charging me $38 a piece for , but are actually $10 a piece . Wow. Also told me I had to pay for the diagnostic fee on top of the services.Update : my son did all of the above for 180 parts and about an hour an half times with wrong tools … had to use what he had

In addition to repairs to service & personal vehicles routine oil & filter changes. Although manufacturers recommendations for oil filter replacement is hand tight, TC has routinely tightened filter to the extent it was impossible for us to remove oil filter without returning to them to have it removed. For years you could count on TC for reliable service to your vehicles in a timely manner fixed right the first time. Hasn’t been our most recent experiences.Services: Electrical repair

Fast friendly service, Courtney was the absolute best and helping me with my issues. Told her I needed the vehicle back by Friday, she said she would try her best to make that happen, and it was ready by thursday! I have never used this company before however, I will definitely use them again in the future.Update: There was a few issues with my repair, however Tri-care went above and beyond resolving those issues!! A few days after the final fix, the owner called me personally saying that he had seen that my vehicle returned a few times, and asked if it was right, told him that it was. He said that if I had anymore problems with it to contact him directly. NOW THAT IS TOP NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Will definitely use again for future repairs and will highly recommend!

Car was overheating and I was referred to this place. Recommended I essentially change my entire cooling system and wanted to charge me $1500 for it. Told them I would just pay for the diagnostics only, because I was immediately suspicious. Told me my car would still run fine with a/c on, not even a mile down the road my car overheats with coolant spewing everywhere. I knew the car at least ran with the a/c off so I added coolant and went home to Houston to my family mechanic. They told me this quote was borderline criminal. For example, Tri-care wanted to replace my thermostat. My family mechanic demonstrated a test on my thermostat to me to show how it clearly works fine. Tri-care straight up lied. My issue ended up solely being bad fan clutch. Got it replaced and my car runs like brand new, with a/c and on long high rpm drives. Repair was $250. Don’t let the 5 star reviews fool you. They replace way more than you need so they can significantly over-inflate the price. I’m sure they’ll defend this with “well it’s bound to fail sooner rather than later so we recommend replacing it” to cover their bases. Do not come here, typical big name shop just trying to make as much money as possible. Sure, they’ll fix your issue. Except they’ll also convince you that you need hundreds of dollars worth of unnecessary repairs as well.

Brought my sons Mazda b3000 there to have the manual transmission looked at, needed a complete overhaul. Paid 3500 to have it overhauled, back a week later it would kick out of third gear, they looked at it and said it was ok. Drove it for a year and a half and the clutch went out. Brought it to a professional transmission repair shop, the transmission failed and caused the clutch to go out-4000 to repair both. The transmission mechanic showed us that whoever worked on it put at least three incorrect parts in the transmission and that was the cause of the damage, they used some shade tree guy, not their normal transmission company. Went back to Tricare to ask for some help and they said it was past the warranty period and could not cover the repair. Their motto is principal over price, next step is an attorney.Service: Transmission repair

My 2004 dodge ram 1500 was constantly stalling, shutting off and sometimes not starting for 15 minutes to a hour. I thought it was a fuel issue initially but I wasn't certain due to another automotive company which I used, not mentioning any other problems on the final inspection after getting the catalytic converter replaced. I contacted Ronnie at Tri Care and explained the issue. He gave me a quote on a diagnostics test. I told him I'd be by at a later date. The truck ran smoothly for a month without any issues and completely shut off on me in traffic. I got it towed to the location on Cloverland but they were backed up for a week and Ronnie's location on Airline Hwy could take care of it in a couple of days. After the diagnostics test, Ronnie contacted me and told me I had a bad crank shaft sensor due to being the original piece on it from 2004. I told him I wanted additional work and he gave me the price for everything and it was under $1000 for a diagnostics test, crank shaft replacemen, new batter and an oil change. On the diagnostic report, it has a list of issues that are recommended to get fixed. my truck has opera smoothly without any problem since taking it ti Tri-Care. I highly recommend using their service.
