  I hate to be negative, but i have never seen a post office work so hard at not working to help customers, the downtown baton rouge post office have shown me they are not interested in customer service, one register open and three others just walking around and 15 waiting in line while one process a family of 6 with passport applications, and the other three just taking up space, they did ask if you were dropping off a package they would accept the package but no one was there to drop off, after 20 mins and the.line growing i had had enough. When you get shut down by the chump administration it's your own darn fault. The government street location is therunner up for some of the worst service to.....embarrassing.

  This location has the worst customer service!!!!!!!!!!! Their nonchalant and no sense of urgency when there is a long line waiting to be assisted is HORRIBLE!!!!! Management needed to do better!!!!!!

  Pretty certain my entire box has been stolen at the processing center. It’s been in BR since November 20th, 2024 but hasn’t been released to my local post office. Of course there’s “nothing” USPS can do until an investigation is completed. Meanwhile, I’m out 3x the money to replace the stolen items, while I wait for the case to be closed.
  
  Based on the recent reviews, it appears I’m not the only one. Wow.

  USPS Regional Destination Facility BATON ROUGE LA PROCESSING CENTER has workers that are stealing packages!! If you think theft at amazon facilities was an issue, wait until you see this USPS sorting facility. I was told the container didn't contain the priority mail box and that every other package in the container was already delivered. Of course my package is the only package that goes missing and its a really expensive watch. This is not the first time I have had expensive jewelry stolen and priority mail boxes randomly go unaccounted for specifically once they arrive at the Baton Rouge Processing Facility. This is beyond unacceptable.

  Called me to pickup a mailbox key I had ordered. Told them I could come Thursday, came Thursday and they hadn't started or noted that I payed for it.

  I just watched a video of an auditor. Now I understand why Baton Rouge is called its name, which means red stick.
  The stick is red because the postal workers must keep beating themselves over the heads while making fools of themselves.
  Or it must just be a cultural thing.

  Talked to postal service by phone trying to ship a package overnight. The customer service agent gave me this address on Friday and said they would be open on Saturday. Package came on but they did not open

  Ordered 2 packages on Nov. 8th and they were supposed to come in Nov.15th receive notification both are out for delivery. Just to never receive them and then wake up to news that THIS POST OFFICE IS HOLDING MY MAIL “UPON CUSTOMER REQUEST” which is not true. Tried to call the post office over 17 times every-time it rang 3 times then went to a full Voicemail-box Notice. I filed a case for falsifying scans. Not only did I not receive my packages according to informed delivery I am missing 11 pieces of paper mail as well. I have lived here for a year and USPS has no problem filling my mailbox with past residents mail but when it’s MY mail I almost NEVER receive it.
