I will say they barely had any plants, i was going to rate it one star but I realize that there service is not bad, is still bad it’s just I don’t like the way they sometime they treat there other costumer. Other than that the store is not that bad it’s pretty decent.

They know they have your business. So they do not even try to help

There were almost no plants, just a small rack with some succulents. There were only 3 choices for soil, and they were all for grass. No pots whatsoever. In fact, most of the shelves were taken up for Christmas trees…in October.

Customer service not friendly at all, you find yourself saying thank you checking out and leaving, and wonder later while you set it at all, they should be the one saying thank you for shopping at our store, instead they say nothing to you at all, it was the same at the register and at the door being stopped checking the receipt, I would speak and no one said anything back just looked at you like they wish you weren't there, very poor customer service, the store could be kept up a lot better also buggies all over the parking lot

Barely any plants. A cornucopia of empty shelves. The outside is even designed to make it look larger than it is. I felt played.

I am loving their drive through - pick up. They are very helpful and the substitutions are generally right on the money. Restored my faith in Walmart and I can actually meal plan so much better. Convenient and good service

This has to be one of the worst stores in their chain- There are not enough people to help or work the registers- too busy hugging one another and chatting at the front of the store. The store is cluttered and not very organized- Baskets of items left in aisles, items in the wrong place on shelves so prices are not correct. Correct prices not in computer so they don't come up the scanned price. Not helpful if needing a refund and there is always a long line. I shop here when visiting family as it is close but would never be a regular here. Last night someone was trying to return an item that had tags and a receipt. The store would not return the item as it was not in their system but clearly was a Wal Mart item. Another man boughtt over $200 worth of groceries and was threatening to return them as he was being asked to produce his receipt upon exit. I let grand kids pick out toys and cds for a treat. I bought 8 cd's to watch earlier in the day, when we got home one was not sealed in plastic and looked rough. It was Iron Giant. I went to return it later that same day at night and could not as the store did not have another one I searched but could not find one. No one was in the dept to ask for help. Service desk called and called- it took 10 minutes for someone to finally respond only to be told there were no more cds- never did offer to look for it or order one to replace the cd. Told me to go to another Wal Mart. Really I don't live in Baron Rogue. The store is dirty and bathrooms need to be scrubbed. If this wasn't so close to the place I visit I would never go there.

I'm not sure why I continue to bother dropping in to this location other than the convenience factor, and yes, I get that this is Walmart and I should not expect more... but really? I think I should expect to get more from attempting to spend my money here. I know Sunday evenings can be especially busy, but I had to try to come in to get something to fix an emergency at the house. First, I noticed there were so many buggies strewn thru the parking lot - blocking spots, etc, because of course people can't be bothered to walk the extra three spots to put them where they belong. Sort of not Walmart's fault UNTIL you enter the store and there are NO buggies to be found inside. Now, yes, I usually do grab the ones that are strewn in the parking lot, but I was dodging people aimlessly driving through the parking lot and blocking aisles while people loaded up in the most importune spots. So after the "greeter" told me there were no buggies on either side, I went outside and walked to the back of the lot and grabbed five buggies and pushed them in (you're welcome Walmart). I tried to go to Customer Service to ask if they could send some of the employees to round up carts, but the one person working back there was a bit occupied by the 20 carts in line to be assisted. I weaved my way through the crowds and the boxes and the oddly located display aisles. I had the most difficult time finding what I needed for my situation and there was no one anywhere near the department I was in to assist me. Once I finally found someone, we roamed through three aisles until I spotted what I needed. As I was looking at the items, I turned to ask a question of the employee who had already disappeared. Completely frustrated and remembering the length of the lines at the check outs, i decided not to waste my money here or any more of my time. I walked out to see the "greeter" inappropriately hitting on a couple of ladies leaving the store and, go figure, no carts in the aisle. I left empty handed and hoping I won't have more issues at home tonight. Tomorrow, I'll hit the hardware store or head down the way and try Target on for size. I'll stick to trying to get good service from the Neighborhood Walmarts (spotty at best), but College Drive Walmart - no thanks. Also, it would help if they upped their security in the parking lots. This is the third time in a row that I've been approached by someone as i was either going in or out asking for money and when i said no, i was cursed out.

I got the Maverick badge for checking in here - that's the badge you get for checking in to several low rated places. Really?? Why the low ratings? It's Walmart, what can you do?! They have every thing you need, the prices are cheap. Sure the lines are long but the cashiers are always friendly and they are always lots of people to help if you need something. It's not my favorite place either and I avoid it all costs but it is what it is. As Walmarts go, I find this one slightly above average.

I appreciate the items this garden center carries. It can save me time and sometimes save me money. The one thing you can't count on is advice. This is a chain that devalues the human equation in the shopping experience. I buy out of convenience and a special sale price incentive. If you are a beginner in the garden check online prices for your tools here, but you need to know in advance what you need. If you know what you are doing then check the sales online you might save a buck or two. Don't expect any real knowledge or enthusiasm to help you create the garden of your dreams. For that, you need to find a local nursery that understands our Baton Rouge climate. A friendly knowledgeable local shop that will help you create a thriving garden. It's OK, and offers convenience but not necessarily the best price. Do your research on local pricing before you put your garden together.
