I have used this unit since 2019 while I was stationed in New Orleans with the USMC. Never missed a payment, including the one on 9/1. I left the state in 2022 and finally had an opportunity to move out of the unit this week (9/4) and left it spotless, as a good customer should.
I asked the company if I would be refunded for the remainder of the month in a prorated amount since they are now able to use that unit again and I only used it 3 days of the month of September.
They refused to issue me a refund and when I asked if I could continue to use the unit for the month since I paid the entire month they said I was no longer a customer even though it was paid for until 9/30.
Most of my belongings from that unit were ruined from mice/rats as well as mold from water leaking in and I had been paying for insurance on the unit as well for the entire time. The rates increased from $75 to $112 over the time I used them. However, no improvements were made with the extra amount they were charging. I wouldn't recommend these units to anyone simply because your belongings will be destroyed and they do not care about their customers. The only positive thing about them is the location in relation to NAS JRB.

The gentleman working Friday really did us a favor, he was about to close for lunch but decided to stay and take his time and help us find the perfect storage unit on a gloomy rainy day.

In searching for a facility to store my vehicle, I came across Southern Self Storage in Belle Chasse. Upon first contacting this location, it was immediately realized that they were very willing to assist in helping with my needs in getting the proper storage for my vehicle.Mrs. Wanda is super nice and was very professional in coordinating the scheduling and storing of my vehicle.
