Needed 19 ft of baseboard. Only sold in 16 foot lengths so I would need to purchase two. I asked if they could be cut in order to fit inside my suv and the clerk stated NO, they don't make special cuts! Then another clerk came and stated due to only having two boards that they can cut them in half. I asked on one of the boards just cut it @ 12' instead of 8' so I wouldn't have a splice on my wall BUT the clerk said NO, they can only cut it in half! Can't make special cuts! I said you're only making cut @ 12' instead of 8'. She said NO.

When I placed an order for lumber to build an entertainment center, I was told they would call prior to delivery and the driver would have either a helper or forklift to unload the truck. The driver showed up without a prior phone call and without a helper or forklift. Luckily I was home at the time and able to help unload. The bigger issue was that it was delivered in the rain with the plywood sheets partially covered and the remaining lumber completely exposed and drenched. While unloading the plywood I noticed 2 issues. One, I had ordered the wrong size luan and two, they delivered the incorrect 3/4” plywood, but to Dufrene’s credit, they swapped it all out for the correct lumber without any questions or issues, which I was grateful for. When the replacement wood was delivered, the straps had been placed on top the luan and tightened crushing the edges of the luan. I figured I’d work around it but after unloading the luan, I noticed 3 sheets had holes completely through the middle and one had previously been cut, so it was only 3x8 instead of 4x8. The whole ordeal shows a lack of care and attention on their part. In the end I kept the plywood, sent all the luan back and purchased it somewhere else and was forced to find room to stack the wet wood to dry prior to use.

Brought back a rotted door frame that states “Lifetime Rot Warranty” on the tag and Dufrenes WON’T stand behind the warranty. I really expected more from this company.

Not surprised at all to see their 2 star rating. In from California to visit family ( grew up in Marrero) and to do a full demo/ remodel on my childhood home. Visited Dufrenes and they had a very poor selectiion of crown molding and baseboards to begin with and then when I asked them for a sample of the crown to take home to assess this employees said I a firm, rude manner, " No, we can't cut a 16 foot board to do that". So let me get this straight...I'm looking to purchase enough baseboard and crown for a 4000 square foot house but you can't give me a sample? Really? Liberty lumber and Gueydan lumber here I come! West Bank, I tell ya.

Nothing like watching a company truck run a red light and almost causing a 4 car accident at peters rd and Lapalco. The light did not just turn red. It was red for a while. No wonder y’all are always looking for cdl drivers if that’s the kind of drivers y’all employee.

I would not order anything from them. A friend of mine ordered the same exact front door as the one I wanted for $644.00. I got an estimate for the same door originally and the price was the same. When I called to order the door the salesman was no longer there so the guy told me he would prefer to come out and re measure the door, which is understandable. After he measured it he told me the door went up $332.00 , which is understandable due to the estimate being a few months old. I turned around and called to order the doors for my house 7 months later for them to tell me the price of the doors changed again. They told me they quoted me wrong and the doors was double the price. Now originally when I called they told me the price would probably be 20% more because it was 7 months later, which I understood that, due to me waiting so long.I was pretty aggravated when they told me the doors had double and they quoted me wrong the first time. So I guess what they telling me is the last 3 estimates were wrong and they are confused on their pricing or is it because we are having a pandemic and we are trying to make up for lost money. This is bad business. What I don't understand is how 2 different salespeople roughly quote the same quote for them to tell me they were both wrong
