My elderly Uncle and I went into Regions Bank in Belle Chasse, La to get some money out the bank. Because he withdrew a large amount, the manager of the bank had a problem with him. She asked him to stand up so she can see him, mind you he is in a wheelchair. He’s a Disabled Veteran who can no longer walk due to age and health. She treated him as if he had no right asking for his money. The next time we went in to withdraw another large amount she really went livid. She called the Port Sulphur branch manager to inform her he was doing too much activity on his account. I have never known a bank to have a problem with you withdrawing money from your account as long as you have the money there. I as well as my Uncle have never been so appalled by her behavior. How can an employee think they have that much right over someone’s account. Then she tried to use the excuse she was trying to protect him. Then I became insulted, I have been in charge of my Uncle’s affairs for quite sometime. Not only at the bank but through the VA Administration. I too am a Disabled Veteran. We served our country and because of the color of our skin we still don’t warrant respect after all these years. When is enough enough, when will people realize we have just as much rights as any other person who is not my color to get respect. I reported this several times to the company which until this date we have not received or heard from anyone from the Corporate Office. So I’m taking that as it doesn’t matter because we’re black.

A great place to do your banking! I went in and I was already in a bad mood from my previous experience with the other regions branch on hey 23 and Terry Parkway. The people in the Hwy 23 branch in Belle Chase were really great, they calmed me down after greeting me at the door with a smile. She directed me to a teller that was really friendly and knowledgeable about what she was doing. I would definitely recommend this branch for business.

Tried calling the 800 number, what a joke! Waited for 30 minutes to speak to someone and finally hung up! Called again the next day and same BS! Can't call my local bank anymore, everything has to go through the 800 number! Goodbye Regions :(, Hello Whitney Bank :)!

This is more for management as the staff is always friendly, why do you have 7 registers and only one teller working? There is a line almost to the door and people working within the bank but never in the right positions. Put people in swing positions so when you get busy (around lunchtime) they can handle the crowd. I saw several people leave just based on frustration. That's not what banks are for!

I worked there as security for a while. The staff there is very nice and friendly to everyone.
