Very good, most everyone there is a native Spanish speaker and this is the real deal. I'd say the most authentic meat market (raw meat for you to cook at home) in the SBC area and they also do hot food as well. Very tasty and authentic.

Great market with an excellent selection, but awfully planned and staffed. Went in on a Saturday around lunch and waited 23 minutes in the meat line (that only contained 13 people) and did that just to get in the single checkout like for another 18 minutes. The meat they offer is quality and tastes great, but they need to get their crap together when it comes to getting people in and out.

I highly recommend this market and taqueria. Very high quality food and groceries from Hispanic culture. My household makes this place a must at least twice a month if not more. And the staff is always friendly and very helpful. Never a wait.

First of all, they are open from 7 am to 9:45 PM, not AM (15 hrs/day, not 3). I was quite pleased with them. Other than the loudness, I liked all the products they had. Got some marinated pork chops to make at home (although they have a hot food station/restaurant too) that turned out pretty well without much effort. I'd say this is a top 3 ethnic grocers in Shreveport.

I recently moved down from New York, and had to do some grocery shopping to make my dishes. Being from the north east we had Mexican stores and restaurants basically every other street so to come down here and not find as many authentic Mexican grocery stores was a bit of a culture shock. I found El Novillo by doing a quick google search and it has to be the best little store in bossier. It's literally a one stop shop in order for me to get the ingredients I need to make my traditional dishes. I absolutely love this store.

My husband and I were looking for some red beans and rice. We walked in and asked them if they had red beans and rice. She said yes and gave me a ticket to go pay first. Then we went back to pick it up and it was regular beans and cheaply made rice.
