Family Dollar, a popular discount retail store, has garnered mixed reviews from its customers. While some customers praise the friendly and helpful staff, who often remember their names and provide a sense of community, others have encountered unsanitary practices, such as employees eating while handling customer transactions. The store is generally described as clean and organized, with staff who are knowledgeable about the inventory and willing to go the extra mile to assist customers. One customer commended a cashier for handling a belligerent situation with grace and patience, even providing entertainment to the other customers. However, another customer reported witnessing employees eating pizza while checking out customers, which was perceived as unsanitary. Despite these mixed experiences, the overall impression of Family Dollar is that it provides a satisfactory shopping experience for its customers, with a focus on customer service and community engagement.

The smell inside was awful, other than that the lady at the cashier was very sweet

The place is fine. However, the two girls behind the counter were eating pizza while checking people out at the same time. I understand eating in between customers and washing your hands after, but not while you just had pizza in your hand and handing people their bag right after. Kinda unsanitary.
