I’m not a fan of the market’s growing shift towards electric saws. Maybe I’m a bit old-fashioned, but I prefer shop tools that plug into the wall and outdoor tools that run on gas. Gas-powered tools remain more reliable in emergencies, like during power outages.

I had an interesting conversation with another customer about how electric chainsaws are reportedly causing safety concerns with chainsaw chaps failing—something worth noting if you’re shopping for one.

The staff was a mixed bag. While I found most employees distracted or unavailable, the cashier stood out for their friendliness and patience while helping me with my veteran discount.
