I'm writing this review on all New Orleans stores as the national office doesn't let me review: This order originally had a delivery window on January 18 and the company did not show up.
It then had a delivery window on January 20 and the company did not show up. Both days I took off work and both days I had contractors waiting on the delivery that I had to pay. (16 hours off work = $720, my contractor was nice enough to discount both days and only charge me $40/hour for those 8 hour windows so that is another $320 I was out)
On January 22nd a Delivery Escalation Ticket was supposed to be issued but the customer service agent misentered the information. A correct delivery escalation ticket was finally issued on January 25. No one from the national home depot office has ever been able to connect to the delivery company on the telephone. On January 25th the customer service 'supervisor' told me that someone would be in contact with me by 8 am this morning CST. I learned today when speaking with another 'supervisor' that she should not have promised me that. This 'supervisor' also informed me that she is not actually a supervisor, just someone people get transferred to when they ask for a supervisor. I have been on the phone a total of at least 6 hours with this order (mostly on hold) and no one has been able to help me or even talk to the delivery company. The only reason I have not cancelled this order is that my contractor cut counters (on January 18th) specifically for these appliances. I would have cancelled and ordered from Lowes or Best Buy after the first missed delivery when I could have had them delivered by now. At this point though the delivery date from your competition is February 1 so I keep hoping someone at Home Depot can help me. This has been the worst customer service experience of my life hands down. It has cost me upwards of $1000 in missed labor myself as well as money I've had to pay to contractors based on Home Depot's promises to me let alone the cost of having to eat out regularly.

The Home Depot at 8601 W Judge Perez Dr in Chalmette, LA, has a lot to offer, especially with their pre-Christmas deals. I picked up some LED smart home lights for just $5 each, definitely a bargain!
Their tool selection is solid, although a few items didn’t stand out to me. One area of disappointment was their chainsaw selection, which was almost identical to Lowe’s. I’m not a fan of the market’s growing shift towards electric saws. Maybe I’m a bit old-fashioned, but I prefer shop tools that plug into the wall and outdoor tools that run on gas. Gas-powered tools remain more reliable in emergencies, like during power outages.
I had an interesting conversation with another customer about how electric chainsaws are reportedly causing safety concerns with chainsaw chaps failing—something worth noting if you’re shopping for one.
The staff was a mixed bag. While I found most employees distracted or unavailable, the cashier stood out for their friendliness and patience while helping me with my veteran discount. That level of service left a positive impression. Overall, it was a good visit, and I’d recommend this location for the deals and convenience.

Lakesha in the paint dept was the most knowledgeable and helpful employee I’ve ever encountered at any Home Depot anywhere! She took extra time to help me understand what my options were and make very informed decisions to acheihve my desired outcome. Lakesha may be home depots MVP and I believe she deserves a raise!
I also had a great experience w Tyra @ customer service who went out of her way to help me despite having to stay late!

I have really appreciated the customer service here lately. We had Jag today and she was very personable and kind. There's a young guy who works in garden and he's always pretty cool too. I wish I caught his name.

The cashier was sooo worried about the wood we had cut in the store trying to see if we were sneaking more pieces that she forgot to put the rest of our purchases in our cart. Now they are saying they can’t find the items that were left at her register that we paid for and there is nothing they can do about it. Horrible. The Home Depot at the West Bank is so much better. It’s worth the drive to have better service.

They don’t have a great selection. I ended up buying what I needed online cause I didn’t feel like going to the location on Claiborne.
