I banned this store, especially this location January 1st to support local small businesses. I'm sure working here is an awful job with rude customers BUT...when I ran into the patio section the other night to get some beach chairs, a worker was standing at the register...the parking lot up front was all blocked off which is ILLEGAL due to people with disabilities. So I parked in back and with my cane, grabbed my 2 chairs and went to check out, the female worker was now outside people watching so I flagged her down to ring me up and she said Sorry I'm Closed go up front (the line was wrapped around the store) I said excuse me, you are standing here, she said yeah, and I don't feel like working'...mind blown I should have just walked out with my chairs, but being a moral person, I left and cried in my car, what has happened to our country and the pride in working for a living! Disgusted! Left a message with corporate and will NEVER be back! Thank you AMAZON!

A S*** HoleWith everything going on in New Orleans in 2023 I turned to "The Parish" for a safe place to make groceries and not worry about my car being broken into or Pookie nim bangin and me gettin caught in da crossfire like at Rouses in the CBD... Little did I know The Parish had degenerated into a s*** hole. This Walmart was simply repugnant. It rivals a Bush or Wet market in a 3rd world country.

Whether it's pickup or delivery, something will always go wrong. Missing items, damaged items, items you didn't even order. I just waited over 45 minutes for a pickup order-you know the thing that's supposed to SAVE you time? My slot was from 7-8 and I got my order at 8:06. They had one single person delivering orders to cars and when I finally called to see what was taking so long, the man I spoke to told me-in no rush whatsoever-that they were "hurrying." I had to park in a No Parking zone because every single pickup spot was full of cars waiting for their orders. They did manage to at least efficiently pack my order, unlike several other times when each item was bagged individually-completely idiotic. Just do better.

Filthy store. Lines 10-15 deep. This includes self checkout. 5 of 12 registers open. Cold and frozen return items sitting everywhere. Floor behind registers. Asked what they do with it. Lady says restock. Scary. Final visit.

This is for the Walmart bakery... they are SO DAMN RUDE! I have tried them more then once over these past two years... but never again. They used to have sweet friendly bakers now they just have super grouchy people that don't ever want to take cake orders and did I mention how rude and disgusting their attitudes are its not just one person it's the employees as a whole at the bakery. They suck! I hope they re train them so they know how to treat customers. My mom and I were the ones with smiles on our faces and being nice as if we were the employees and we were still met with disgusting attitudes. I would give them zero stars however I need to give them a star to write my review.

When did Walmart groceries become the most popular activity on a Sunday morning?? BOTH self checkout lines nearly meet at the center of the store. There are several cashiers on duty but their lines are all filled with full carts 7 to 10 deep! How long can Walmart survive half empty shelves and 30 minute checkouts? Gave me time to write this review!!??!!??!! I feel like we can do better. It will take longer to check out than it took to fill the cart

(Updated/expanded review)I've lived in a couple different places now, and am usually a regular at Walmart. Based on that, I can say that this Walmart store is bad on multiple levels.Stock = Even pre-pandemic, finding items in stock was hit or miss, especially cheaper brand items. I also frequently find items on the shelves that have already been opened, presumably thanks to the customers. Maybe not Walmart's fault, but worth noting because it impacts that shopping experience; there was a time I couldn't find a single unopened box of the dryer sheets I wanted.Pharmacy = This pharmacy does not actually have an Express Lane, they just have the sign up for decoration. I've waited at the Express Lane counter while they skip me to help people in the regular line. Then they either call me over to the regular counter computer or have to turn on the Express counter computer. If I have to wait just as long as normal, in the same line as normal, and use the same computer as normal - or worse, wait for the Express computer to be ready - then there's nothing Express about it.Photo Center = I waited for 20 minutes for someone to appear at the Photo Center counter, but they never did; mind you, this was around 3:30pm, not lunch time. I tried to get an employee from the nearby Electronics section to help me find someone for the Photo Center, but she informed me that she couldn't/wouldn't help. I finally grabbed a passing employee - possibly a manager? - who went in the Photo Center to look for my order herself. She said it wasn't in the store, despite what the shipping tracker saying "Delayed, At Store" (or something similar). My photos showed up 1-2 weeks later, and the shipping tracker never changed, so despite insistence to the contrary I strongly suspect that my photos had been misplaced at the store. After that chaos, never again.Lock and key = All of the hard alcohol and some cosmetics are locked up. That's not necessarily bad, but the one time I wanted some rum it took 15+ minutes to find someone with a key. Presumably the checkout counter by the alcohol is usually staffed and I just hit it at a bad time - though who knows with this store - but that makes me feel bad for the people trying to buy the locked up cosmetics because there's not even a counter in the cosmetics section. If you're going to lock things up, don't make customers have to hunt down someone with a key!Automotive Center = Surprise, there isn't one! You can still buy oil and whatnot, but you'll have to go to a Walmart in New Orleans or Slidell to find an actual Automotive Center.Lines = My god, the lines! The *only* time I have been here and there haven't been lines was when I got there right at opening hour during the initial height of the pandemic in 2020. Every other time I've been here, the lines have been atrocious. There are two self-checkout groups, one either side of the checkout area; on more than one occasion, those lines have been so long that they met in the middle! The only way you can tell them apart was by which way the people were facing. Other times those checkout lines will go straight, disappearing into the clothes racks or supply aisles, tricking people into thinking it's short when really they're only seeing half the line. And of course the regular checkout lines get backed up too.I started doing the Curbside Pickup during the pandemic and haven't looked back. It's not perfect, but it's a hell of a lot better than fighting the mess inside this store.

No workers on the registers ever. No one wants to help in any department whatsoever. Workers are rude and nothing is ever stocked. Don't waste your time because you'll be in line for 45 minutes for one bag of rice. Walmart, step it up. And hire more people!!
